For individuals searching within the 'RV Parks Near Me' category for long-term residential options, Rameys Mobile Home Park is a local community to be aware of. The provided address places it within Salem, offering potential access to local amenities and services in the area.
Based solely on the physical location, Rameys Mobile Home Park, like many mobile home communities, likely offers individual lots for residents to place their mobile homes. These lots typically include utility hookups such as water, electricity, and sewage. The overall environment of such parks can vary greatly depending on the management, the upkeep of the grounds, and the sense of community among residents. However, the limited information available necessitates a careful consideration of the direct feedback from individuals who have experience with this specific park.
The customer reviews provided offer significant insights that potential residents should carefully consider. One detailed review expresses several serious concerns about the living conditions and management practices at Rameys Mobile Home Park. These concerns include:
- An alleged overpopulation of stray cats within the park.
- Issues with some residents owning a large number of dogs that are reported to bark frequently and chase children, suggesting a potential lack of enforcement of pet policies.
- A very serious accusation of racism against the management, claiming discriminatory enforcement of rules and regulations based on residents' race or the racial makeup of couples. The reviewer alleges that white and mixed-race couples are unfairly targeted, while Mexican residents are allowed to build additions without issue, contrasting with the threat of eviction for a white resident who built a small lean-to shed.
- Claims of inconsistent rule enforcement, where some residents can engage in disruptive behavior (such as late-night drunken outbursts directed at the manager) without consequence, while others face strict enforcement.
- Allegations of overcharging on water bills and late fees.
- An account of being told they were trespassing and not allowed to visit friends and family in the park after their lease was not renewed, despite having no history of causing trouble or legal issues. The reviewer questions the legality of this action.
This detailed negative review paints a concerning picture of the management style, rule enforcement, and overall living environment at Rameys Mobile Home Park. The accusations of racism and inconsistent rule application are particularly serious and should not be ignored by anyone considering residing in this community.
The second review is shorter and somewhat less clear but expresses a sentiment of being "nick picking paddy" and complaining about "every single little thing" by the owners and management towards tenants, friends, and visitors. This review also suggests a potentially negative and overly critical management approach.
Given these strongly negative reviews highlighting issues ranging from animal control and rule enforcement to serious allegations of discrimination and unfair treatment, any potential resident should proceed with extreme caution. It is imperative to conduct thorough due diligence before considering Rameys Mobile Home Park as a place to live.
Due to the severity of the allegations in the reviews, it is strongly recommended that potential residents:
- Attempt to contact the management at (540) 342-0613 or +1 540-342-0613 to directly address the concerns raised in the reviews and seek clarification on the park's policies and management practices. Be prepared to ask specific questions about pet policies, rule enforcement, maintenance procedures, and how the management addresses resident complaints.
- Visit Rameys Mobile Home Park in person to observe the current conditions. Pay attention to the general upkeep of the park, the presence of stray animals, and any visible signs of the issues mentioned in the reviews.
- If possible, try to speak with current residents (if they are willing) to get a more balanced perspective on the living conditions and management. However, be aware that residents may be hesitant to speak openly due to potential repercussions.
In the context of 'RV Parks Near Me', individuals typically seek communities that offer a stable, safe, and fairly managed living environment. For local users in Salem, Virginia, who are exploring their options for long-term living within the 'RV Parks Near Me' category, Rameys Mobile Home Park is geographically located in the area. The serious allegations of racism, inconsistent rule enforcement, and poor management practices from a former resident should not be taken lightly. Rameys Mobile Home Park Reviews
Worse place to live. There are way to many cats running loose. There are sum people who have 10 dogs that bark all the time and chase kids. The management There is racist. They pick and choose who can do what. Sum people who live there can call at 3am and cuss the Manger out drunk and its ok nothing is said or done. The lease only applies to certain people who they want to kick out when others can do whatever they want. Rules are rules they can't pick and choose who it applies to. The whites and mixed couples can't do anything without something being said. The Mexicans can build building and additions on the trailer and its just fine no problem. I built a lil lean shed and was threatened to be kicked out if I didn't take it down. They over charge you on water bill and the late fee. If I was you don't even think about rameys to live you will regret it. Well let's see here I was coming back to visit a friend today and the manger Paul told me I was trespassing and I couldn't visit my friends and family. I never caused any trouble here or had the law called on me. Just because they decided not to renew my lease and was discrimination against me I think I'm gona talk to my lawyer about this. There ain't nothing in the lease about if you move out that you can't come back. Technically I was not kicked out so what part of that makes it liable for them to tell me I can't be in there and that I was trespassing.
Mar 14, 2024 · Steve SwitzerWe I will just the same as everyone around would tendents, friends, friend of friends ride by, walk through We all might be able to do a lot better and be just find if they, they being from the owners back to the management wouldn't be so nick picking paddy and complain about every single little thing!!!!!!!!!!
Nov 02, 2023 · David Laing (cowboysfan3133)This is an older Mobile home Park. Most of the people who live here, live here permanently. A lot of families with children live here. Most of the mobile homes would benefit with new paint, but the entire park is well kept and clean. The manager is friendly and informative but only works here on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Across the street from the mobile home park is a very good Greek / American restaurant. Within walking distance is a paved bicycle / walking trail and less than a mile away, there's a grocery store and gas station.
