For local RV owners and camping enthusiasts in the Panacea, Florida area, seeking options under the "camping near me" category, Panacea RV Park, located at 1089 Coastal Hwy, Panacea, FL 32346, USA, presents itself as a potential choice. Inquiries can be directed to (850) 984-5883 or +1 850-984-5883. As an RV park, it is designed to accommodate recreational vehicles of various sizes and typically offers a range of amenities and services tailored to the needs of RV travelers. However, based on recent customer reviews, experiences at Panacea RV Park appear to be somewhat varied, which local users should consider when making their decisions.
One positive review offers insights into a satisfactory stay. The reviewer, initially skeptical due to other feedback, reported having "no problems" during their visit. They found the site to be adequately sized with "acceptable room between sites," addressing a common concern about spacing in RV parks. The responsiveness of the staff was also highlighted, with a request for a picnic table being fulfilled within five minutes. Furthermore, this reviewer praised the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the pool, as well as the presence of a "nice sitting area." The park's proximity to "plenty of parks and water to enjoy" suggests a location that offers access to the natural attractions of the Panacea area, which could be a significant draw for local campers looking to explore the region.
In contrast, another review paints a considerably less favorable picture. This reviewer described the park as a "ripoff," citing experiences from a past stay. Negative aspects mentioned include high prices, malfunctioning laundry machines ("aren't worth a flip"), "nasty bathrooms," and an allegedly unpleasant owner ("mean as a snake"). This reviewer strongly advises against recommending Panacea RV Park, labeling it the "worst RV Park I've ever been to." Such starkly contrasting opinions underscore the importance for local users to weigh these experiences when considering this RV park under the "camping near me" search.
Given these differing accounts, providing an objective introduction requires acknowledging both the positive and negative feedback without additional information to definitively assess the current state of the park. Potential local users might find it beneficial to seek more recent reviews or perhaps even visit the park to assess the conditions firsthand if feasible.
In terms of environment, being located on Coastal Highway in Panacea, FL, suggests that Panacea RV Park likely benefits from a coastal setting, potentially offering proximity to the Gulf of Mexico or nearby waterways. The positive review mentions the park's nearness to "plenty of parks and water," indicating opportunities for outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, or exploring local natural preserves. The specific layout and landscaping of the RV park itself would contribute to the overall environment experienced by campers, including the presence of trees, green spaces, and the arrangement of individual RV sites.
The services and features of Panacea RV Park, based on the reviews, appear to include standard RV park amenities such as individual hookups for water, electricity, and sewer at each site. The mention of laundry machines and bathrooms suggests that these facilities are available for guest use, although their condition seems to be a point of contention based on the negative review. The presence of a pool and a "nice sitting area" indicates recreational and communal spaces within the park. The positive reviewer's experience with the prompt delivery of a picnic table suggests that some basic site amenities are provided or can be requested.
For local RV owners, the size and spacing of the RV sites are crucial factors. The positive review indicates that the sites were "big enough" with "acceptable room between sites," which is important for comfort and ease of maneuvering larger vehicles. This aspect directly addresses a common concern among RVers. However, without specific details on the dimensions or layout of the sites, it's difficult to provide a more comprehensive assessment.
Promotional information for Panacea RV Park is not provided in the given text. Typically, RV parks might offer seasonal discounts, weekly or monthly rates, or special packages. Local users would need to contact the park directly or visit their website (if available) to inquire about any current promotions or pricing structures. The contrasting reviews regarding the park being a "ripoff" versus providing acceptable value suggest that pricing might be a significant factor for potential visitors to consider and compare with other RV parks in the "camping near me" category.
In conclusion, Panacea RV Park near Panacea, Florida, presents a mixed picture based on the available user reviews. While one reviewer found the site spacious, the staff friendly, and the amenities clean, another described a negative experience with high prices, poor facilities, and an unpleasant owner. For local RV owners seeking a "camping near me" option, it is advisable to take these contrasting opinions into account. The park's location offers proximity to natural attractions, which could be a significant advantage. However, potential visitors should consider the reported inconsistencies in cleanliness and service quality. Further investigation, such as seeking more recent reviews or directly contacting the park for current information on pricing and amenities, might be beneficial for local users to make an informed decision about staying at Panacea RV Park.

Apr 23, 2025 · Julie FigueiredoPlace is a ripoff. Stayed here a while back. Pricy, laundry machines aren't worth a flip, nasty bathrooms, and the owner is mean as a snake. Do not reccomend. Worst RV Park I've ever been to.
Jan 25, 2025 · Massive DumpI've been to many RV parks in my life, and this is the worst. Stay away.
May 04, 2025 · Jeff SmithThis place was amazing! The only downfall was how hard it was getting in and out of the spots with such little space. Roadway needs to be a bit wider for larger campers/fifth wheels. Other than that it was beautiful.
Sep 14, 2024 · LeannThe person who checked us in was curt. Our spot given us was not the one my husband requested. She became agitated when he said we had to have a different one. She raised her voice at me when I told her this was not what we needed. When he called to make the reservation, my husband explained that we had been there before and that he was blind in one eye, so he requested a site that was easier for him and since we were doing an overnightstay, one that was long enough so we didn't have to unhook. The lady said...no problem. But the site given us was a problem. The sewage line was in the middle, ours is at the end...we were only staying overnight (last year we stayed a week)...we would have had to unhook to stay in that sight, and we were not going to do that. We were given a more suitable site...under duress.NOTE: We have been camping 20+ years and have never had to change a reserved site...unless we requested it and as long as it didn't cause additional problems. The reservation was made by Kenneth McIntyre.
