The environment surrounding Pat Mayse West Campground is a significant draw for those seeking "camping near me" with a focus on enjoying a lake setting. The reviews highlight the presence of Pat Mayse Lake, which is described as "refreshing on a hot summer day," indicating its appeal for swimming and potentially other water-based activities. The beauty of the place is also noted, suggesting a scenic natural landscape. The fact that no one was tent camping during one reviewer's visit implies the availability of tent sites, possibly offering a quieter experience if RV campers are concentrated in other areas. The campground seems to offer a typical lakeside camping environment, with potential for shade from trees and easy access to the lake. For local residents looking to escape the heat and enjoy a "camping near me" experience by the water, Pat Mayse West Campground appears to be a promising location.
Services at Pat Mayse West Campground cater to both RV and tent campers, although specific details about amenities vary. One crucial piece of information from a review is that the electric hookups are primarily 30 amp, and an upgrade to 50 amp was desired by one RV user. This is important for RV owners to note, and the advice to bring plenty of 20 amp fuses suggests potential for electrical load issues with 30 amp service. The availability of both RV and tent sites is a key service, catering to different camping preferences. The mention of audible generators from one loop of campsites (B13) suggests that RV camping with generator use is permitted in at least some areas. The friendly nature of the people at the campground is also highlighted in a review, indicating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. For local users seeking "camping near me" with basic services for both RVs and tents, and a friendly environment, Pat Mayse West Campground seems to provide these, though RVers needing 50 amp service should be aware of the potential limitation.
The features of Pat Mayse West Campground revolve around its lakeside location and the provision of camping sites. The refreshing lake is a primary feature, offering opportunities for swimming and likely other water-related activities. The availability of both RV and tent campsites caters to a range of camping styles. The issue with the 30 amp electrical service for RVs is a notable feature for RV owners to consider. The presence of different camping loops (as indicated by the mention of loop B) suggests a structured layout of the campground. The ability to choose a site away from generator noise (like B16 or 17 relative to B13) is a feature for those seeking a quieter tent camping experience. The friendly people contribute to the overall positive experience. However, details about specific campsite amenities like fire pits, picnic tables, water hookups (for tent sites), or restroom/shower facilities are not provided in the reviews. Local users looking for "camping near me" at Pat Mayse West Campground should be prepared for potentially basic amenities, especially for tent sites, and RVers should be mindful of the 30 amp electrical service.
For local users in the Powderly area and surrounding regions, Pat Mayse West Campground offers a convenient "camping near me" option with the significant benefit of lake access. RV campers will find sites available, though they should be aware of the 30 amp electrical service limitation and potentially bring extra fuses. Pat Mayse West Campground Reviews
It was amazing stay.. the only issue was the electric was 30 amp, needed to upgrade to a 50 amp, so lil advice... take plenty of 20 Amp fuses. All in all, beautiful place, very friendly people!
Jun 19, 2021 · Jessica FriesenThe lake was refreshing on a hot summer day! No one was tent camping, so the five or six spots were all open. I chose a spot away from the other loop (sites B16 or 17) since the generators were audible from B13.
Jul 14, 2023 · Steven VromantVery nice camp grounds, beautiful area, well kept and clean. Back in spaces with water and 30 amp electricity. No sewer, but a dump station on-site.
Mar 19, 2022 · Brian DavisSnow frezzying weather was great . Got below 0` 20 had to leave west no power to keep warm. Generator was not going to start. . But it was beautiful time . No fault to the park come and enjoy your time here
Mar 17, 2021 · Michael Rhodes (CoffeeD)Camped here November 25 to December 8, 2022. Only one area open right now with the boat ramp. In 14 days the trash can in the bathroom was never emptied.....and NO TOILET PAPER IN THE MENS BATHROOM!! The bathroom/shower is OLD AND OUTDATED, but that does not excuse the lack of attention to even the most basic attention the restroom received during my stay....it was simply NASTY!!!
