Pine Bar Put In & Campground Introduce
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience centered around a picturesque river setting with opportunities for recreation, Pine Bar Put In & Campground, located in Grangeville, ID 83530, USA, offers a rustic and natural getaway. While a direct phone number isn't provided in the information, its location near Grangeville makes it a searchable destination for those interested in camping along a beautiful Idaho river. Based on the available customer reviews, Pine Bar Put In & Campground presents a unique combination of scenic beauty and outdoor activities, albeit with limited amenities.
The environment surrounding Pine Bar Put In & Campground is consistently praised for its beauty. One reviewer described the drive along the river to reach the camp area as "very beautiful," setting the tone for a scenic retreat from the moment you arrive. The campground itself is situated alongside a river, offering a natural and potentially tranquil atmosphere. The presence of a "sandy beach" is a significant feature, providing a space for relaxation, play, and easy access to the river. This sandy area appears to be a popular spot for families, with one reviewer mentioning that "the kids love jumping off the rocks into the river," suggesting opportunities for swimming and adventurous fun.
In terms of services and features, Pine Bar Put In & Campground offers a more primitive camping experience with limited amenities. The reviews explicitly state "No amenities" and mention the presence of only a "Pit toilet." Pit toilets are basic, non-flushing restroom facilities commonly found in more rustic campgrounds. Campers should come prepared with their own water, hand sanitizer, and any other necessary comfort items. Despite the lack of extensive amenities, the campground does provide "picnic tables near" the campsites, offering a designated space for meals and gatherings.
A key aspect emphasized by a reviewer is the "pack it in pack it out" policy. This is a crucial element of responsible camping in areas with limited services, requiring visitors to take all their trash with them when they leave, ensuring the preservation of the natural environment. The reminder to "Leave foot prints NOT trash!!!" underscores the importance of minimizing impact on this beautiful area.
Beyond the basic camping facilities, Pine Bar Put In & Campground offers significant natural attractions and recreational opportunities. The river itself is a major draw, with one reviewer mentioning that their "husband and I love fishing it," indicating that the river is a suitable location for angling. The combination of the sandy beach and the river access makes it an ideal spot for a variety of water-based activities, from swimming and playing to fishing and simply enjoying the riverside ambiance.
Adding to the natural appeal, one reviewer noted the presence of seasonal treats: "Blackberries and apples when in season." This suggests that during certain times of the year, campers might be able to enjoy foraging for wild berries and possibly apples, enhancing their connection with the local environment and offering a unique natural bonus to their camping experience.
The campground itself is described as "nice" by one reviewer, indicating that despite the limited amenities, the camping spots are pleasant and well-situated to enjoy the surroundings. The information mentions that there are only "5 camp spots," which suggests a small and potentially intimate camping area. This limited number of sites could contribute to a quieter and less crowded experience compared to larger campgrounds, appealing to those seeking a more secluded feel.
Given the lack of specific promotional information, the primary draw of Pine Bar Put In & Campground is its natural beauty and the recreational opportunities afforded by its riverside location. The sandy beach, fishing potential, and the possibility of seasonal foraging for berries and apples create a unique appeal for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The limited number of campsites and the "pack it in pack it out" policy suggest a focus on a more rustic and self-sufficient camping experience.
Local users seeking a "camping near me" destination that prioritizes natural beauty and river access should consider Pine Bar Put In & Campground. Be prepared for a camping experience with minimal amenities, including only a pit toilet and picnic tables. Remember to bring all necessary supplies and to adhere strictly to the "pack it in pack it out" policy to help preserve this lovely area. The rewards are the beautiful riverside setting, the sandy beach for relaxation and play, and the opportunities for fishing and enjoying the natural bounty of the Grangeville region.
To gather more information, local users can search online for "Pine Bar Put In & Campground Grangeville ID" to find potential maps, additional reviews, or information from local recreation authorities. Understanding the river conditions, fishing regulations, and the best times for seasonal foraging could further enhance a visit to this natural gem. While it may lack modern conveniences, Pine Bar Put In & Campground offers a chance to connect with the beauty of Idaho's rivers and enjoy a more traditional and self-reliant camping experience.

Jun 02, 2020 · Erica S. EllerNice little campground past the put-on spot, but not on the river. Had two nice restrooms and a handful of nice spots. We preferred a dispersed camp spot along the river. But both are good.
May 30, 2021 · R HardyAwesome as always. Had some careless neighboring campers, that trashed the bathroom but that's not the park's fault. I love it.
