Initially planning for just one night, they extended their stay to three due to weather, ultimately finding this location to be their "favorite so far" in their travels. What stood out to them was the "peace and tranquility" of the RV sites, a feature that can be hard to come by. The new owner addressed some past negative feedback, explaining that those reviews pertained to previous years before their involvement. They also mentioned that the website might not be entirely accurate due to a lack of tech-savviness and encouraged potential visitors to call for the most up-to-date information. This new management team, consisting of just two individuals, is described as "super sweet" and fostering a "great community feeling." The reviewer shared instances of the owners' hospitality, such as leaving a note at the small shop allowing guests to simply call them if anything was needed and inviting guests to a campfire cookout. Impressive amenities mentioned include a fish cleaning station and a laundry area. The showers were described as "VERY nice," and there's a unique aspect where guests are encouraged to help clean and participate in the campground upkeep, contributing to the community feel.
This second reviewer also shared details about their departure, noting the owners' warm send-off, complete with jokes, hospitality, and honesty, encouraging them to return. Practical information included the campground being "cash only," but offering RV parts, ice bags, and firewood for sale at "great prices." The owners also provided local recommendations for markets, Peggy's (presumably a local eatery or attraction), and lakes, enhancing the overall stay with local insights.
Combining these recent accounts paints a picture of Pine Lane Campground as a place that prioritizes a peaceful and community-oriented camping experience. Pine Lane Campground Reviews
We recently stay at Pine lane campground and wanted to say what a pleasant experience it was. We had only intended to stay one night, but weather prevented traveling back home. We ended up staying three nights and found this location to be our favorite so far, not because it has most amenities but because of the peace and tranquility that is so hard to find out RV sites. They have a beautiful fishing pond where children and families were enjoying fishing and just being together. A quiet and friendly environment and gracious hosts. This is the place if you want to enjoy a peaceful and restful experience. Wish we had the time to stay longer. Campground is within 15 minutes of some of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Erie, farm market stands for fresh fruits and veggies, and from what we’ve seen some of the nicest people. We’ve been traveling from Maine to Texas, and through the Midwest on our way back to Maine and this has been our most pleasant layover out of all the sites we’ve visited. Thank you to the campground for providing such a wonderful location to stop and unwind.
Jun 24, 2024 · Erin PecinaUnder new management! The new owner told us some of the bad reviews are from prior years he wasn't here and he isn't tech savvy so the website isn't accurate, always feel free to call! They're super sweet and it's just two of them that run the place and it has a great community feeling to it. They would close the little shop and simply leave a note saying to grab them if you ever need anything, they invited us to a campfire cookout, the place has a fish cleaning station and a laundry area which we were impressed by, the showers are VERY nice and they want you to help clean and take part of the campground too. When we were heading out, they told us to come back, they were full of jokes, hospitality, and honesty. Heads up - they are cash only but you can buy RV parts, ice bags, and firewood at great prices! They even told us some places we could check out too (markets, Peggy's, lakes, etc.) during our stay.
Aug 13, 2023 · Courtney CExcellent! I stopped in while circling Lake Erie on my bicycle. Very friendly, very clean, very quiet. Great experience
Jun 06, 2024 · Jeffrey YoungsNice, tidy and clean campground, well cared for. There are a lot of long term campers and park models but we were able to snag a spot for just a night. Site was gravel but it was pretty level and right next to the pond.
Jun 26, 2022 · Sierra MontgomeryVery nice smaller campground. Everything was clean and organized. We got a site right on the pond. Watched kids fishing. Super relaxing.
