This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of the campground based on recent customer feedback available online.
Pinewood Lodge Campground and Function Hall can be contacted at (508) 746-3548 extension 6, or via mobile at +1 508-746-3548 extension 6. These contact numbers are essential for making reservations and inquiring about specific details regarding the campground and its amenities.
The environment of Pinewood Lodge Campground is described as being a "Great Family campground" by one enthusiastic reviewer. This suggests a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere suitable for families with children. The same reviewer also highlights the "friendliest staff, always accommodating," indicating that customer service is a strong point of this campground. Such positive feedback regarding the staff can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making guests feel valued and well-cared for.
Another recurring visitor, who returns annually, provides a more detailed perspective on the campground's features and services. They note that the "facilities are basic but clean." This is an important distinction, suggesting that while the amenities might not be state-of-the-art, they are well-maintained and hygienic, which is a crucial aspect for any campground. The reviewer also mentions a "small" store that "could use an expansion," indicating that while a convenience store is available on-site for basic needs, its selection might be limited.
The presence of a "hall and games" area is noted, with the suggestion that these could benefit from "some updating." This implies that there are indoor recreational spaces available, potentially offering activities during inclement weather or for evening entertainment, but these areas might feel a bit dated. The reviewer's continued annual visits, despite this observation, suggest that other aspects of the campground outweigh this minor drawback.
A significant positive aspect of Pinewood Lodge Campground is the quality of the campsites themselves. The reviewer describes the "sites" as being "nice, spacious, and well maintained." Spacious campsites offer more room for setting up equipment, enjoying outdoor activities at the site, and maintaining a sense of privacy. Well-maintained grounds contribute to a pleasant and comfortable camping environment.
In terms of desired improvements, the returning visitor expresses a wish for "more activities offered/scheduled or outdoor sports for the whole family (shuffleboard, bocce ball, etc.)." This suggests that while the campground is family-friendly, there might be a perceived lack of organized activities or dedicated outdoor recreational facilities like sports courts. The addition of such amenities could further enhance the family camping experience and provide more opportunities for engagement and fun for all ages.
The reviewer also points out two recent positive additions to the campground: "The new office and automatic gate were great additions." A new office can provide a more welcoming and efficient check-in and information point for guests. An automatic gate often enhances security and can streamline the entry and exit process for campers.
A significant advantage of Pinewood Lodge Campground's location is its proximity to "downtown Plymouth, which is nice." Plymouth is a historically rich and popular tourist destination, offering a variety of attractions, restaurants, and shops. The campground's convenient access to downtown allows campers to easily explore these off-site amenities and attractions, adding value to their stay.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given reviews. However, the repeated positive experiences of the returning visitor, who states, "We'll still continue to go every year," serves as a strong implicit endorsement. Their loyalty suggests a consistent level of satisfaction with the campground's core offerings, despite some suggestions for updates and additional amenities.
In conclusion, Pinewood Lodge Campground and Function Hall in Plymouth, MA, appears to be a well-regarded family-friendly campground with a focus on providing a welcoming and comfortable experience. The staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and accommodating nature. The campsites are noted for being spacious and well-maintained. While the facilities are described as basic and some areas like the store and game hall could use updating, the cleanliness is maintained. The recent additions of a new office and automatic gate are positive developments. The campground's proximity to downtown Plymouth offers a significant advantage for those wishing to explore the local area. While some guests desire more organized activities and outdoor sports facilities, the overall positive sentiment and repeat business indicate that Pinewood Lodge Campground provides a solid option for those seeking "camping near me" in the Plymouth region. Contacting them at (508) 746-3548 extension 6 to inquire about reservations and specific amenities is recommended for those considering a stay.

Pinewood Lodge Campground and Function Hall Reviews
The friendliest staff, always accommodating, A Great Family campground. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. The Best!!
Apr 26, 2025 · Craig CooperWe visit this campground at least once a year. The facilities are basic but clean. The store is small and could use an expansion. The hall and games could use some updating. The sites are nice, spacious, and well maintained. I wish there were more activities offered/scheduled or outdoor sports for the whole family (shuffleboard, bocce ball, etc.). The new office and automatic gate were great additions. We'll still continue to go every year. It's also close to downtown Plymouth, which is nice.
Oct 20, 2024 · Stephanie WilsonHad a pleasant stay. Our only issue was finding our site a couple of times even with a map (and I consider myself a good navigator). Very spacious sites for most. Had hot showers for some quarters and they were reasonably clean, if dated a bit. Would say the higher price was worth the close proximity to the Plymouth historical visits. Take in Plimoth Patuxet Museums package if your able. Really enjoyed the village with dressed up era staff. Might mention the check in and front gate were well designed and helpful. Would stay again.
Oct 30, 2024 · Michael BrandinWe tented here and loved it! The site was large, wooded, private. We heard the gun shots from the near by range on Friday night, but they were over by 8pm. Saturday we heard only a couple. We didn't find it bothersome at all. There was the occasional low flying plane as well from the airport, but again, nothing detrimental to our experience. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, but they were quite far from our site unfortunately. Store and bathrooms are located up a STEEP hill. Very do-able, but important to note if you have a stroller, wagon, or have a disability. The snack shack, live music, clean pond and beach, ice cream window. They have it all and it was really well done! We didn't have to leave once. Highly recommend and will be back!
Aug 12, 2024 · Angela PThis is a great campground if you want to be close to the historic sites in Plymouth, it is only about a five minute drive. Check-in was easy; you get a key card to access the gate. However, getting to my campsite in the rear of the property was quite confusing. The map that they give you looks real nice but it is not accurate at all. The streets on the map do not line up with the true streets. I would not like to show up in the dark. The camp store was nice and stocked with everything you would need. There is a big room where you can play board games or read a book, a pool table, air hockey and some other kid’s type of electronic games. It was a little bit of a pain doing laundry because there isn’t a change machine at the laundry facility. I went to the office in inquire and they sent me to the lodge. The machine only takes $1’s and $5’s. Once back at the laundry, the laundry machines performed well. The negatives I want to note about this location is there is a shooting range very close where they shoot large caliber ammo and it starts early and goes late. There is also an airport very nearby, so you will hear that. At the end of our stay, I used the dump and it could use some attention with the hoses, the two hoses available did not have usable ends on them in order to connect to flush. I did enjoy the great wi-fi. When I saw that I was camping in a pretty isolated spot toward the back, I thought the wi-fi wouldn’t be that good but it actually was.
