Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Cranberry Acres, located at 20 Shoestring Rd in Carver, Massachusetts, presents itself as a destination geared towards family fun and a variety of recreational activities, making it a potential option for those searching for "camping near me" with a focus on kid-friendly amenities. This campground, part of the well-known Jellystone Park franchise, aims to provide a comprehensive camping resort experience. However, it's important for potential visitors to be aware of all aspects of their policies and pricing, as indicated by recent customer feedback.
The environment of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park: Cranberry Acres in Carver, MA, is likely designed to cater to a family-oriented vacation experience. While specific details about the natural surroundings (such as wooded areas, hiking trails, or water features beyond the pond and pool) are not extensively described in the provided reviews, the focus seems to be on the developed amenities and recreational facilities within the resort. The presence of a "pawn to go fishing in" suggests a natural water feature that adds to the outdoor appeal and provides a specific activity for guests. The overall environment is likely well-maintained and geared towards providing a safe and enjoyable space for families to spend time together outdoors. The location in Carver, Massachusetts, may offer proximity to other local attractions and the characteristic landscapes of southeastern Massachusetts.
The services at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park: Cranberry Acres appear to be centered around providing a wide range of recreational opportunities and conveniences for families. The mention of a "pawn to go fishing in" indicates another recreational service offered at the campground. While the reviews do not detail standard campground services like restroom and shower facilities, laundry, or campsite hookups, it is reasonable to expect that a resort-style campground like a Jellystone Park would offer these basic amenities. However, one critical service aspect highlighted in a negative review concerns their cancellation policy and fees associated with add-ons like cabanas or golf carts, where daily charges are applied even for cancellations made well in advance. This suggests that potential guests should carefully review and understand all fee structures associated with their booking and any additional services they might opt for.
The features of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park: Cranberry Acres are geared towards creating a fun and engaging experience for families. The "heated pool" extends the swimming season and provides comfort, while the "water slide" adds an element of excitement for children. The "big play area" offers a dedicated space for kids to run, climb, and play. The "pawn to go fishing in" provides a more relaxed outdoor activity suitable for various ages. The negative review also mentions "add-ons" such as cabanas and golf carts, indicating that these are available for an additional daily fee. It's important to note that one reviewer found the pricing to be "way too pricey even for a seasonal," suggesting that the cost, especially when considering add-ons and potentially seasonal rates, might be a significant factor for some families. The positive aspect mentioned is that it's a "good place to take your family and have a good time," indicating that the features and activities offered are generally well-received by those who stay, despite the cost concerns and the cancellation fee policies.
The reviews present a mixed picture of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park: Cranberry Acres. On one hand, it is described as a "good place to take your family and have a good time," with attractive features like a heated pool, water slide, and play area for kids, as well as a fishing pond. The owners are not specifically mentioned in these reviews, but the focus is on the amenities provided for family enjoyment. On the other hand, a significant concern is raised regarding the pricing, which one reviewer found to be "way too pricey," even for seasonal stays. Additionally, a cautionary note is given about the cancellation policy, specifically the charging of a daily fee for "add-ons" even when a reservation is cancelled three months in advance. This policy was viewed as "absolutely ridiculous" by the former potential customer, leading them to decide against future bookings. This feedback suggests that while the resort offers appealing features for families, the cost and certain administrative policies might be points of concern for some.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Cranberry Acres in Carver, MA Reviews
BEWARE!!! Just want to inform people, I cancelled my reservation 3 MONTHS in advance. They charged a lodge cancellation fee of $25 (which is fine) I understand, however they charged a $10 fee/day for each "add-on". This means if you added on a cabana or a golf cart, for each day they charge you $10 each per day. Again this was 3 MONTHS in advance. They just lost a potential customer in the future. Absolutely ridiculous.

Apr 29, 2025 · Kevin MauricioThis was our first year going to Yogi Bear and the whole family loved it! There was something to do all day everyday. The activities that cost extra money were so cheap and so so much fun. The water park was definitely the kids favorite thing to do and the pool was so refreshing on those hot days. We will definitely be back again next year!
