Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground Introduce
For local adventurers in West Virginia and surrounding areas seeking a campground that caters specifically to offroading and ATV enthusiasts, Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground, located at 3190 Wagon Wheel Rd, Bud, WV 24716, USA, presents a unique option within the 'camping near me' category. With a phone number of (304) 294-5929 and a mobile contact at +1 304-294-5929, this campground positions itself as a convenient and laid-back base for exploring the renowned ATV trails of the region.
Based on customer reviews, Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground offers a somewhat rustic but functional experience, particularly for those primarily focused on offroading activities. One reviewer noted that for offroading, their expectations weren't too high, and they found the owner to be a "nice guy," suggesting a friendly and perhaps informal atmosphere. This laid-back ambiance appears to be a key characteristic, with another review describing it as a "laid back and relaxing place to stay," especially appreciated in an area where lodging options for ATV riders might be limited.
The campground seems to primarily cater to those with their own campers, as one reviewer explicitly stated, "If you want a campground to stay at with your own camper, it'd be great." This suggests that the facilities and setup are well-suited for RVs and trailers, likely offering designated parking spots and potentially hookups, although the specifics of these services are not detailed in the provided information.
For those without their own campers, Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground offers a bunkhouse option, as mentioned in one of the reviews. The experience in "bunkhouse 2" was described as basic but functional, providing "hot water" and a place to stay. The absence of bedroom doors was noted, indicating a more communal or open sleeping arrangement within the bunkhouse. The presence of an awning was highlighted as a positive feature.
However, the reviews also point out some areas where the bunkhouse experience falls short. Cleanliness was described as "sub par," and issues with ants were significant, with reviewers noting that ants "helped themselves to our food and belongings." Additionally, concerns were raised about the refrigerator, which reportedly needed "some mold and mildew removal." These comments suggest that while the bunkhouse provides basic shelter, potential guests should be aware of these reported cleanliness issues.
Interestingly, one reviewer found "the bathroom was the nicest room in the house (minus the ants)," noting that it at least had a door. This suggests that some parts of the accommodation might be in better condition than others. However, the recurring mention of ants indicates a potential issue throughout the facilities that prospective guests should consider.
Given these reviews, local users considering Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground should weigh their priorities. If the primary focus is on having a convenient location with access to ATV trails and a basic place to stay (especially if bringing their own camper), this campground might be a suitable option. The laid-back atmosphere and the owner's reported friendliness could also be appealing to some. However, those considering the bunkhouse should be prepared for potentially basic cleanliness and the possibility of encountering pests like ants.
As there is no specific promotional information provided, local users interested in staying at Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground are encouraged to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about availability, pricing, and the specific amenities offered for both camper sites and the bunkhouses. It would be prudent to ask detailed questions about the cleanliness protocols, pest control measures, and the features available at the campsites (e.g., hookups, fire pits) and within the bunkhouses. Understanding these details will help potential guests make an informed decision based on their individual needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground appears to be a locally situated campground primarily catering to ATV riders seeking convenient access to nearby trails. While it offers both camper sites and bunkhouse accommodations, reviews suggest a more positive experience for those with their own campers. Potential bunkhouse guests should be aware of reported cleanliness issues and the basic nature of the lodging. For local offroading enthusiasts looking for a no-frills, laid-back basecamp, Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground could be a viable option, but direct communication with the owners is recommended to gather the most up-to-date and detailed information.

Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground Reviews
I'll start with this, I'm offroading and don'texpect too much. The owner was a nice guy.We stayed in bunkhouse 2, it had hot water, no bedroom doors, but it was a place to stay, oh and the awning was nice. The bathroom was the nicest room in the house (minus the ants) but it had a door. The cleanliness was sub par and the ants were selfish and helped themselves to our food and belongings. The refrigerator needs some mold and mildew removal. If you want a campground to stay at with your own camper, it'd be great, we just don't recommend the bunkhouse we stayed in.

Apr 03, 2022 · Kevin DayIt's a old school RV camp ground. The staff is always friendly and happy. The campground leads straight into the Outlaw Trail System. The showers are always hot. Love that after a long ride.
