Ponderosa Campground Reviews
Had another great weekend trip this year for all of the Fall and Halloween festivities! Ponderosa is the best with the nicest staff! Our family enjoys the Deluxe Cabin! Simple, clean, & comfortable "glamping"! Property is great and farm is beautiful!
Oct 21, 2024 · Erin PacificoThis place was awesome. The staff and owners were very nice and we were treated like family. This was a spur of the moment trip and we arrived Sunday, August 25th. I called several places beforehand to ask if they were pet friendly and this is the only place that would accommodate us. The cabin we rented was extremely clean and the campground was well kept. The cabin, much to my surprise even had a bathroom. I could not have asked for better accommodations and we will most certainly be returning soon. Thank you to the staff for an amazing over night stay!
Aug 27, 2024 · Creasy17Literally cannot wait to go back next year! It was a last minute booking and they only had an RV available but it was super clean and modern. We were looking for a more rustic setting with a cabin but the RV turned out to be the better option this time with the kids. The campgrounds have a little farm with rescued farm animals (loved this), basketball, a playground, a swimming pool which went from really shallow to 6 ft and was big enough with a fountain in between so it wasn't easy for the kids to automatically end up in the deep end. The campground provides a barbeque and a fire pit for your stay.
Aug 27, 2024 · Christine SThis was our second time at Ponderosa Campground. We have had great stays! It was great that they kept the bathrooms locked so that people couldn’t use them except for those in cabins without bathrooms or at seasonal sights. One thing that was strange was the water for the shower smells like metal. This was the second time that we were there and the water smells the same as last time. Besides that, highly recommend! We will be back!
Sep 03, 2024 · Amanda SickelVery nice, calm campground. There's a nice big pool, small parks and the little hooves farm. 20 minutes away from the Wildwood boardwalk and free beach. 5 minutes away from the amazing Cape May Zoo. There wasn't organized activities at the campground like we are used to seeing at other campgrounds, but there was so much to do nearby that it didn't matter. The premium cabin was perfect and was just what we needed. The water pressure was great. Our only disappointment was the wood that we bought on site was still wet, so it just made lots of smoke and was very hard to keep a fire. Over all it was a great experience and we hope to be back again in the future!
