Thousand Trails Sea Pines offers rental cabins as an accommodation option, which can be appealing for those who prefer a bit more comfort than traditional tent camping. One reviewer who stayed in a rental cabin with their family noted that the "rental units are great for what we needed but in need of an update." This suggests that while the cabins serve their basic purpose well, they might show some signs of wear and could benefit from refurbishment. Specifically, the couch in unit 148, described as "fake leather," was "flaking/peeling," causing annoyance for the occupants. This feedback is important for local users considering renting a cabin, as it highlights a potential area for improvement in some of the units. However, the reviewer still indicated that the units were "great for what we needed," suggesting that the functional aspects were satisfactory.
Another issue mentioned by the cabin renter was a discrepancy regarding bed sizes. The website indicated a "double bed," leading them to bring linens accordingly, but their room actually had a "queen mattress." This discrepancy caused some annoyance, highlighting the importance of verifying specific details about rental units directly with the campground to avoid such inconveniences. Despite these issues with the rental cabin, the reviewer still expressed overall enjoyment of their stay, particularly mentioning the pool and the lake as positive features that their family enjoyed.
The amenities at Thousand Trails Sea Pines include a "pool" and a "lake," both of which were enjoyed by the reviewer's family. A swimming pool is a popular feature in campgrounds, offering a refreshing way to cool off during the warmer months and providing recreational fun for all ages. The presence of a lake suggests opportunities for various water-related activities, although the specifics of what is allowed (e.g., swimming, fishing, boating) are not detailed. The reviewer also mentioned "chatting with the seasonal campers," indicating a friendly and social atmosphere within the campground community. This interaction with long-term residents can sometimes enhance the camping experience by providing local insights and a sense of belonging for short-term visitors.
Location-wise, Thousand Trails Sea Pines is described as "great," with a significant advantage being its proximity to the Wildwood boardwalk, which is just a "15 min" drive away. While some of the rental cabins may be in need of updates and it's advisable to confirm bed sizes, the availability of a pool and the friendly atmosphere, as indicated by interactions with seasonal campers, contribute to a positive stay. Thousand Trails Sea Pines Reviews
I didn't get a room. We have a house. Beautiful ❤️ nature.. Love it
Apr 21, 2025 · Elizabeth MaurasNice campground, stayed in a rental cabin with my family. The rental units are great for what we needed but in need of an update. Our couch in unit 148 was fake leather and was flaking/peeling so it was annoying to sit on.Also, the website says double bed so we brought linens for a double bed, but our room had a queen mattress. That was a bit annoying.Location wise is great, 15 min from the Wildwood boardwalk. Our family enjoyed the pool, the lake and chatting with the seasonal campers!
Aug 16, 2024 · Karine PietteFrom day one, we had a rental unit. We were treated like 3rd class. No tv roaches. This camp seems to be except for a few rentals is for permanent sites. So we were treated not well. And we tried to use day passes at Lake and shore, and were told next time to call and make reservations. So we did it. And were told they were doing work 😖
Aug 10, 2024 · Dessa NunlistThe worst bugs I’ve experienced at any campsite; a full two weeks later and we are still recovering from the bites - major mosquitoes, flies, gnats, etc. They need to treat once in a while; this alone is reason enough for us to never come again. Restrooms were okay, limited sewer hook ups (we checked in early to get one), very tight spots with trees in awful spots (removing a few strategic trees would really help), lots of pads that are broken/partially demolished which poses obstacles/tripping hazards in the sites. The pool is okay, the store is okay, the office wouldn’t let us borrow a wrench but there’s thankfully a hardware store nearby. We won’t plan to return but it was okay enough aside from the bugs.
Jun 19, 2024 · Andi SummersWe recently stayed 2 nights at Sea Pines June 7th and 8 th 2024 They gave us a list of available sites and the first 2 were filled so we just parked in the 3 rd one Our site had alot of trash in it when we arrived. We took a walk and found trash in the lake and around the beach area. Most of it just seemed to be run down Our neighbors had loud music all night with 2 flashing speakers, very disappointed with this place
