Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee Introduce
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience with the added comfort of a cabin in the scenic North Georgia mountains, Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee, located at 286 Mossy Elm Rdg, Suches, GA 30572, USA, presents a potential option. Situated in Suches, near the Chattahoochee National Forest, these cabins offer a chance to immerse oneself in nature and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. You can contact them at (617) 914-0021 or mobile phone at +1 617-914-0021.
The environment surrounding Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee is frequently lauded for its natural beauty. Reviews highlight a "pretty good" location and view, aligning with expectations of a mountain getaway. The setting in Suches places guests within close proximity to the Chattahoochee National Forest, known for its vast woodlands, hiking trails, waterfalls, and scenic drives. This suggests an environment rich in outdoor recreational opportunities, from hiking and exploring nature to simply enjoying the peaceful mountain atmosphere. The quietness of the location is specifically mentioned as a positive aspect, contributing to a restful and relaxing experience, ideal for those looking to "renew your mind body and soul."
However, it's important to consider all available feedback regarding the specific conditions of the cabins. One review details some significant issues encountered within the "Adele" cabin. These include an "odd odor" described as smelling like grease, a persistent problem with gnats originating from the sink drain, and an ineffective air conditioning unit that blew cold air but failed to lower the interior temperature adequately. The loud noise of the AC unit and the presence of mold on its grating were also noted as concerns. These points suggest that while the overall location is appealing, the condition and cleanliness of individual cabins may vary and could potentially impact the guest experience.
On a more positive note, another reviewer described their experience as "perfect quick getaway to renew your mind body and soul," emphasizing the quietness, safety, and comfort of their cabin. They also mentioned that the cabin was "fully equipped," suggesting that guests may find essential amenities provided. This difference in experiences highlights the importance of considering that cabin conditions might not be uniform across all units at Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee.
In terms of services, the mention of a "fully equipped" cabin by one reviewer implies that guests can expect a range of amenities to facilitate a comfortable stay. This could include a kitchen or kitchenette with cooking essentials, bathroom facilities, and furniture. However, one specific service detail mentioned in a negative context is the lack of a flat/top sheet for the beds. Guests who prefer to sleep with a top sheet are advised to bring their own, as Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee reportedly does not provide them in any of their cabins. The availability of a comforter is mentioned, but its suitability as a sheet in warmer conditions, especially with potentially ineffective air conditioning, was questioned by one guest.
The host's responsiveness or the process for addressing guest concerns is not explicitly detailed in the reviews. One guest mentioned leaving a note about the issues encountered, hoping for a subsequent cleaning. This suggests that while there might not be proactive communication about cabin conditions, there is an expectation that feedback will be taken into consideration for future guests.
The features of Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee appear to center around providing a comfortable base for exploring the natural surroundings. The "pretty good" views suggest that the cabins are situated to take advantage of the scenic mountain landscape. The quietness of the location is a significant feature for those seeking a peaceful retreat. The fact that cabins are "fully equipped" (according to one review) implies a level of self-sufficiency and convenience for guests who prefer cabin-style accommodation over traditional tent camping. The potential for a "digital detox" due to the remote mountain location could also be considered a feature for those looking to disconnect.
However, potential features must be balanced with the reported drawbacks. The issues with odor, gnats, ineffective and loud air conditioning, and the lack of a top sheet in at least one cabin are important considerations. While one reviewer felt "safe and comfortable," the other's experience suggests that the level of comfort and cleanliness might not be consistent across all cabins.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews, such as discounts or special offers. The primary promotion seems to be the appealing location and the promise of a quiet and relaxing mountain getaway. For local users searching for "camping near me" who prefer cabin accommodations and are drawn to the Chattahoochee National Forest area, Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee offers this combination. However, potential guests should be aware of the mixed reviews regarding the interior conditions of the cabins and consider contacting the property directly to inquire about the specific cabin they are interested in and any recent maintenance or cleaning updates.
For those considering Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee for a "camping near me" experience, the key takeaway from the reviews is the contrast between the positive aspects of the location and the potential issues with the individual cabins. The scenic views and the tranquil mountain environment are definite draws, offering a chance to escape and relax. However, the reported problems with odor, pests, air conditioning, and basic bedding in at least one cabin should prompt potential guests to seek more information and possibly request a specific cabin based on recent feedback or assurances of cleanliness and functionality. The experience seems to vary, so thorough research and direct communication with the property may be beneficial before booking.
In conclusion, Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee offers a mountain cabin experience in a scenic location near the Chattahoochee National Forest, appealing to local users seeking a "camping near me" alternative. The environment is praised for its views and quietness, and at least some cabins are described as "fully equipped." However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with odor, pests, air conditioning, and the lack of a top sheet in some cabins. While one guest had a recurringly positive experience, another encountered significant comfort issues. Therefore, local users should weigh the attractive location against the potential for inconsistent cabin conditions and consider contacting Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee directly for more information before making a reservation.

Postcard Cabins Chattahoochee Reviews
Starting on a positive note, the location and view were pretty good, just what we expected, but the inside of our Adele cabin wasn't the greatest. Upon entering we noticed an odd odor that we just couldn't figure out and later just chalked it up as grease, it smelled like grease. We were also swarmed by gnats, but there wasn't any gnats outside, these were all inside and coming out of the sink drain. We made traps with beer and dish soap which worked collecting 10-15 gnats over two nights. The cooling of the unit should've been easy too, but the ac would blow cold, but never bring the interior temp down, like the air was escaping somehow. The first night we left the ac on low and opened the bathroom window and other window and while we were warm, it wasn't too bad & even much better the second night as the overnight temps dropped a bit more into the low 60's. The ac unit was also very loud, it never got quiet no matter what setting. The grating that covered the front of the ac was moldy too, so the second night we left the grading down with hopes to not blow mold into the air. Again, we loved the location & our view, but the inside needs work and deep cleaning!! We also left them a note, so maybe the unit gets cleaned. Oh, and if you must sleep with a top sheet like we do, bring your own! PCC does not have a flat/top sheet in any cabin. We took the cover off the comforter and used it as a sheet, again it got warm in our unit as the ac wasn't cooling properly, we needed a sheet and not a comforter.
Apr 07, 2025 · Joey HonestAn experience that was quickly added to our calendar as a reoccurring event! The perfect quick getaway to renew your mind body and soul. We enjoyed the quietness to just rest relax and chill out. The cabin was fully equipped so I suggest don't overpack. We felt safe and comfortable.
Mar 20, 2025 · Ashlia JonesI hate to do it. Truly. We got there? We couldn’t get in to the cabin. The code wasn’t working. Upon finally getting into the actual cabin we were hit with a horrific smell. I couldn’t quite put my nose on it. Mold? Mid grade weed? Unsure. We never slept because of the smell. That’s how terrible it was. We contacted them around 5 am after we couldn’t physically take the smell anymore. They moved us to a different cabin. Told us all the amenities that are offered in each cabin are on the house due to the inconvenience. After we checked out they charged our card for the amenities we helped ourselves to that they specifically said we’re free 😂 I reached out and they said to email the main company.Unbelievable. Maybe their other locations are better? Def not this one.
Mar 29, 2025 · Bek COur experience at this cabin was overwhelmingly negative. From the moment we arrived, the exterior was uninviting, with cracks and cobwebs covering most of it. Upon entering, we were hit with a heavy smell of mold, which set the tone for what we were about to endure.Inside, the conditions were far worse than expected:• A damp, stained comforter crawling with insects coming through an unsealed window.• Dead bugs scattered throughout the cabin and dozens of giant flies buzzing around.• An air conditioner caked in black grit and dust. The property was advertised as a romantic getaway, but it couldn’t have been further from that. It was unclean, unsanitary, and entirely unfit for anyone to stay in.When we reached out to Postcard to resolve these issues, they showed no concern and refused to issue a refund. Given the conditions, my wife and I had no choice but to leave shortly after arriving.I would not recommend this cabin to anyone. It’s a far cry from what is advertised, and the lack of care from management only makes it worse.
Dec 31, 2024 · Parker SucklingI want to give zero star if I can. Reserved a star view cabin for the Christmas day. Attached are the view from my cabin- only seeing the dirts, not seeing a single tree or a star. I can only see the bottom of ONE tree trunk. My backyard has 1000x better view than this. I cannot believe they situated cabin here. Worst view ever in my entire life and ruined my Christmas day with my kiddos. I am also attaching the photos they advertised on their website. Seriously this is scam. I am so pissed…
