Rainbow Point Campground Reviews
This is a great campground, don’t let road and mosquito reviews dissuade you. The road in is graded like any other campground road. No potholes. I imagine the mosquito density is seasonally dependent. Otherwise, tons of shade and fresh water, fire rings and bear safe containers. Will definitely book again.
Sep 10, 2024 · Michael StMarieGreat family campground! We have used this campground as our base for exploring Yellowstone a few trips with our kids (and this last trip with extended family) and it’s great! We have stayed in Loop C with our trailer—it is reasonably priced, lots of tall tree shade cover, electric hookups, very clean and the hosts were helpful. Short walk to the lake for boating, fishing or swimming (early in the season—Algae blooms later in July-Aug prevent that.) Short drive (about 10 miles) from Yellowstone East Entrance…close enough to get there easily and far enough away to have some privacy and get away from the crowds when you are done with the park for the day.
Jun 27, 2024 · Cherry SThis campground is well kept and clean. They do have hookups for trailer and motorhome. They have different sections for spots to camp. The lots are spacious. The host was so wonderful. It’s nice you can go boating And fishing in the lake right next to the campground.I recommend trying this campsite out. It is beautiful 🥰
Oct 12, 2024 · Mindy MylesThis is basically a primitive campsite with electric which was great with our RV. The only issue is a 2 mi VERY rough gravel road. We maxed out at about 10 mph, but we managed it 4 times, so it's possible. On our first day on our way in we literally had to wait for a small herd of bison to cross the road! It was awesome to see them so up close. Sites were level and clean with good firepits
Jul 04, 2024 · Stephen WoodWe were to camp here for three nights, however, it was shortened due to a baby crying in the next loop over in the middle of the night for well over an hour. We have kids and I get it, but come on be respectful to other campers. The roads into this campground are absolutely terrible. A little further from the entrance to Yellowstone than I thought. The campsites are well spaced and the bathrooms are clean. I wouldn't say there is much privacy between campsites, trees are tall.
