Oct 17, 2024 · Brendon van der BergWe used this as a base to go to Yellowstone NP. All the campgrounds closer are much more expensive. This one is 15 minutes from the West entrance. The location is superb, right on the lakeshore and on the edge of the forest. So quiet and beautiful. The pitches are huge. A few have electric hookup. Some are lakeside. There's a boat launch and there are canoes for hire during the season. We were there right at the end of the season - the week it closed - so the nights were very cold, below freezing. Altitude is 7000ft. Days were lovely and sunny. The camp hosts were a really friendly, helpful couple who enjoy what they do.The pit toilets were spotlessly clean and had a lovely air freshener smell.Highly recommended.@grandrovervoyager
Mar 18, 2025 · Nikki JohnsonAn easy drive west of Yellowstone with beautiful, clear water. Stayed at spot 15, and it had shade trees and easy access to the lake. Water was crisp and cool. My son did end up with a leech attached to him after swimming, so watch for that. Lots of nature sounds at night, which is cool if you're into that.

Dec 31, 2024 · Ann DanielsonWe stayed at campsite 24. It had no view, close to main road. The RV site is very short and with overgrown branches, it is even shorter. I had to make it work. To add insult to injury, we got 4 pieces of wood for $10. It would cost me $100 if I wanted to cook with it. Not exaggerating, photos attached
