Ridge Rider Campground Reviews
After doing some research, my family decided on a day trip to Ridge Rider Campground! This was the best decision I could have made. The camp host/manager of the grounds was absolutely amazing. As newbies to RVing, we were a little nervous about our first official camping trip. John was really awesome even though it was a Holiday. He quickly recommended a different site that would better accommodate us, and when we hit a little snag with lifting our levelers, he did what he could to lend a helping hand ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!!!! We will absolutely be back and recommend these grounds for anyone looking to camp!
Dec 27, 2024 · Renata SinclairWhat a great family campground! We went for the halloween weekend and let me tell you the kids and us had a blast. There was never a moment when the kids were saying they were bored. Very well maintained and organized! From fishing, basketball, playground, pumpkin carving, costume contest, trick or treating, which they got a pile of candy over 20lbs and the haunted hay ride was perfect! Thank you for a great family weekend we will remember forever!
Oct 28, 2024 · Josh HumbertsonGreat location and friendly staff. We tent camped in the lower field. Lots of room, not on top of each other. Quiet. Bring your bug spray lots of bugs before the sun goes down. Once the sun went down no more bugs. There are outhouses at the field. But for showers it's about a half mile up the road. That's why it only gets four stars.
Oct 24, 2024 · Chris MoserPleasant, well maintained camp ground ideally located for easy access to Potomac River 15 Mile boat ramp, Western Maryland Rail Trail and Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath trail
Mar 24, 2025 · John EckenrodeWe rented the Indigo cabinette. It wasn’t far from the C&O trail. The place was very old and dated with dirty carpet. The sconces in the bedroom area were nonfunctioning, as well as 2 living room lights. The stove propane ran out after 3 minutes. Worst part was the mice infestation. We woke up in the morning and found droppings on the kitchen and bathroom counters. They raided my husband’s travel bag and chewed on his earplugs. What a disappointment. And the cabinet was not cheap to rent. We travel often and stay at various places…some nice and some not so nice. However, this place wins the prize for our worst stay ever!Positive note: the campground itself was clean and quiet. The laundry facilities and bath house were very clean and top quality.
