Rippling Stream Campground

3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Rd NW, Baltimore, OH 43105, USA

4.0
Our experience at this location was largely negative, unfortunately. The most significant issue was the absolutely horrid smell of rust emanating from the shower water. It was so strong that we couldn't bring ourselves to use the facilities after the first attempt. To make matters worse, dripping water also left noticeable rust stains on our RV.The website was also quite confusing, leading to an initial booking error where we accidentally reserved a tent space. Thankfully, this was resolved without too much hassle. The only positive aspect of our stay was the availability of Wi-Fi, which was a definite plus. However, this single amenity couldn't outweigh the significant problems we encountered.Overall, while the Wi-Fi was appreciated, the unusable showers and rust issues make it difficult to recommend this place. We certainly won't be returning.Ps, as a queer couple, we felt it necessary to mask and keep distance between us. - Veronicx Tx

Rippling Stream Campground Introduce

For local residents in the Baltimore, Ohio area, Rippling Stream Campground, situated at 3640 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Rd NW, presents itself as a potential option within the "camping near me" category for both short and long-term stays. Based on recent customer feedback, the campground is currently under new ownership and is in a phase of ongoing improvements. While one review highlights significant issues with the facilities under previous management, another offers a more positive outlook on the future of the campground under the new owners.

Regarding the environment, Rippling Stream Campground is described as being "out of the city but close enough to get things you need." This suggests a location that offers a degree of peacefulness away from urban congestion while still providing convenient access to essential supplies and services. The name "Rippling Stream Campground" itself implies the presence of a natural water feature, which could contribute to a pleasant and potentially scenic environment for campers. However, the reviews do not explicitly detail the immediate surroundings or the accessibility and quality of any stream or natural areas within the campground itself.

In terms of services, one of the few specific amenities mentioned in the reviews is the availability of Wi-Fi, which was noted as a "definite plus" by one visitor. This suggests that campers looking to stay connected will have internet access at the campground. The fact that the campground accommodates both short and long-term stays indicates that it likely offers basic camping infrastructure suitable for various durations of visit. The new owners are reportedly "making improvements to make it an even better place," suggesting a proactive approach to upgrading the campground's services and facilities. However, specific details about these planned or ongoing improvements are not provided in the available reviews.

Features of Rippling Stream Campground, based on the limited information, include individual campsites suitable for both RVs and tents, as one reviewer mentioned accidentally booking a "tent space" initially. The resolution of this booking error "without too much hassle" suggests a degree of flexibility and customer service. The presence of dripping water causing rust stains on an RV, as reported by one reviewer, indicates that water hookups might be available at some sites, although the quality of the water was a significant concern for that particular visitor. The new owners taking over suggests potential changes and upgrades to existing features, which could positively impact the overall camping experience in the future.

One of the customer reviews expresses a strongly negative experience, primarily due to the "absolutely horrid smell of rust emanating from the shower water." This individual reported that the smell was so overpowering that they were unable to use the shower facilities after the first attempt and that dripping water caused rust stains on their RV. This is a critical piece of feedback that local users should be aware of, particularly those who prioritize clean and functional restroom facilities. The reviewer also mentioned a confusing website that led to a booking error, although this was eventually resolved.

In contrast, the more recent review offers a more optimistic perspective, stating that the campground has been "taken over by new owners who are very nice" and are actively "making improvements." This suggests that the issues raised in the earlier negative review might be addressed or are in the process of being resolved under the new management. The new review also notes that the campground is "quite at night" and is suitable for both short and long-term camping, indicating its potential as a peaceful and accommodating option for various camping needs.

Promotional information is somewhat limited due to the conflicting nature of the reviews. The fact that the campground is under new ownership and undergoing improvements could be seen as a positive development, suggesting a commitment to enhancing the camper experience. The availability of Wi-Fi is a concrete amenity that might attract some local users. The campground's location "out of the city but close enough to get things you need" could be a selling point for those seeking a balance between natural surroundings and urban convenience. However, the serious concerns raised about the water quality in the showers by one reviewer need to be carefully considered.

For local users considering Rippling Stream Campground, it would be prudent to contact the new owners directly at (740) 862-6065 or +1 740-862-6065 to inquire about the current status of the facilities, particularly the water quality in the showers. Asking about the specific improvements being made and the timeline for these upgrades would also be beneficial in assessing the potential of the campground. Inquiring about the types of campsites available (tent, RV, full hookup, etc.), pricing, and any specific policies or amenities offered under the new management would provide a more comprehensive understanding of what Rippling Stream Campground currently offers.

Given the mixed feedback, local users might want to approach Rippling Stream Campground with cautious optimism. The new ownership and the promise of improvements are encouraging signs. However, it would be wise to seek up-to-date information directly from the campground regarding the resolution of past issues and the specifics of the ongoing upgrades to ensure a satisfactory camping experience. The potential for a quiet, conveniently located campground with Wi-Fi is appealing, but the fundamental quality of essential facilities like restrooms and water sources is paramount for a comfortable stay.

In conclusion, Rippling Stream Campground in Baltimore, OH, is currently in a state of transition under new ownership, with efforts underway to improve the facilities. While it offers a location that is both out of the city and conveniently accessible, and provides Wi-Fi, past issues with water quality in the showers raise concerns. Local users interested in camping here should contact the new owners directly to get the most current information on the campground's condition, the progress of improvements, and the services and amenities currently available to ensure it meets their needs for a local camping experience.
