Rising Sun Campground Reviews
We absolutely love to call this place our home away from home! Love how they are so involved with doing things for the children. Everyone keeps an eye out for all the kiddos. The owners really are the nicest and most friendly people. Also its located on the river so it's the absolute best location. But the best of all you get to meet Norman the giant gnome. Everyone loves to get their pics with him. 🥰🥰🥰
Jul 02, 2024 · Nicole SullivanRight on the River great views, fishing and really clean. Every time I’ve went to use the restroom it’s always been clean. The owners and workers have always been nice to us. Even with some confusion on my part a few weeks ago. The owners tone never changed. We are lucky to have them. Camping fees are comparable to other campgrounds. Canoeing, floating fees. I’m sorry I can’t comment on that. My wife is scared of water so I don’t canoe or float down the river it looks like fun and people returning seem to enjoy themselves.
Jun 30, 2024 · Tommy PizzoWe started out camping here in primitive in 2020/2021 once Covid broke and you could go camping. we loved it and wanted to get on as seasonal with our family and friends. This place brings joy to my heart and now is our second home. The owners are amazing and treat you like family. All other seasonal families are awesome also. Nothing bad to say here. Hopefully many more years to come and enjoy peace away from home even if it for just a couple days a week or how ever long. Keep up the good work
Jun 28, 2024 · Sissy RosenWe are in our second season as seasonal campers. We consider Rising Sun our home away from home. We love kayaking on the beautiful Tippecanoe river, sitting at the campground beach. There are plenty of parks for our grandchildren to play at. We love all of the new friends we have made. We love all of the memories we have made and look forward to many years of making great memories.
Jun 29, 2024 · Kenneth NolanClean bathrooms, hot showers, great river access, and canoe rentals. Very hospitable owners and seasonal tenants. I was just rolling out to end my visit when I had a wheel bearing hub start grinding. I had changed them before, so it was just a matter of getting the part and some tools together to do it again. Between the owners and tenants, there were golf carts, pickup trucks, and a lawn mower coming and going from the spot I was broken down at, asking what I needed, chasing down tools from neighbors, bringing bottles of water, etc. It wasn't quite as convenient as having my own toolbox in my own garage, but in a pinch, two hours away from home, it was a close second. Plus, it was amazing to see the community gather around a first-time visitor in need of help. I'm seriously considering a seasonal spot if I can make the numbers work.
