While the specific services will depend on the cabin's owners or management, you can generally expect some or all of the following:

- Sleeping Arrangements: The cabin will likely include beds or sleeping platforms, potentially with mattresses. You may need to bring your own bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows), so it's essential to confirm this.
- Basic Furniture: Expect basic furniture such as chairs, a small table, or possibly a seating area, providing a comfortable space to relax indoors.
- Lighting: The cabin will likely have some form of lighting, which could be electric lights powered by the grid or solar panels, or possibly battery-operated lanterns. Confirm the type of lighting provided.
- Heating and Cooling (Potentially): Depending on the location and climate, the cabin might offer heating (such as a wood stove or electric heater) and possibly cooling (like a fan or air conditioning). Inquire about these amenities if they are important to you.
- Kitchenette or Cooking Facilities (Potentially): Some camping cabins include a basic kitchenette with a countertop, sink (with potentially non-potable water), and perhaps a small refrigerator or microwave. Outdoor cooking facilities like a fire pit or grill might also be provided. Check the specifics.
- Toilet Facilities (Potentially): Toilet facilities can vary. Some camping cabins have an attached or nearby private outhouse, while others might be located within a short walk of shared campground restrooms if the cabin is part of a larger facility.
- Water Access (Potentially): Access to potable water might be provided via a nearby spigot or you may need to bring your own. Confirm the water situation.
- Parking: Parking will be available near the cabin, allowing for easy loading and unloading of your gear.
- Outdoor Space: The cabin will likely have some outdoor space, such as a porch, deck, or a small yard area, where you can relax and enjoy the riverside setting.
- Fire Pit or Grill (Likely): Many camping cabins include a fire pit for campfires and potentially a grill for outdoor cooking. Check if firewood is provided or if you need to bring your own.
Riverbend Hideaway Cabin likely offers unique features that enhance its appeal as a "camping near me" option. These features might include:

Riverbend Hideaway Cabin Reviews
The history in this particular area is incredible. In earlier days the road leading up to this cabin. It was referred as fish hook road. Campers and fisherman came from all around to fish the damn that is located just west of the cabin. This area of the river was once forced to turn and run straight into the Old Flour Mill which is located in the city of Oxford, Kansas. You can see the rock wall that was formed along the rivers edge across from the cabin. Who knows how many people frequented this area.I have had the privilege to come to this area and just silently listen to God's work flow by and I have also enjoyed many of meals caught from the river. I have enjoyed many of moments that will forever stay etched in my mind. I am grateful that the family that owns this cabin. For allowing me and many others to enjoy staying in their cabin. Too be able to make memories like myself. God Bless, everyone, everywhere, and every thing. Sincerely, Lorena Marshall
Sep 22, 2024 · Lorena MarshallIf you like being watched, this may be your place. Cameras are everywhere, and as soon as we used one of the boats, which according to the VRBO ad were included, I received a call informing me they were off limits. I guess Big Brother was watching... To boot, the river has tons of trash in it, and of course, the septic percolates to the ground surface just steps behind the cabin. The owner lives elsewhere, but has placed the "locals" in-charge, who by the way, also have night-long beer bashes within sight. Lots of shootin' and rip roaring and far from the tranquility we expected. Pass it up, unless you like banjo music and have a purdy smile.
Oct 31, 2023 · Jeff HWe booked this location for our wedding and the property was perfect! Beautiful scenery, beautiful home, fishing, gun range, hiking. This was amazing and we will be back!
Oct 07, 2022 · Summer MagyarGreat weekend with friends here but don't drink the water as several city people thought the tap was safe and got sick. Don't assume anything and bring your own water.
