You can reach them at (402) 910-8166 or +1 402-910-8166 to inquire about availability and other details.
Based on customer reviews, Riverland Campground boasts a fantastic location. Many appreciate its scenic beauty and proximity to the river, with some RV spots offering particularly nice views. The campground's location just outside of Columbus provides a sense of tranquility while still being conveniently accessible. One reviewer noted, "Very beautiful, and just outside of town." This suggests that you can enjoy the peace of nature without being too far from urban conveniences.
For those interested in RV camping, Riverland Campground appears to be a popular choice. One visitor even declared it "the best RV park in Columbus," highlighting the positive aspects of their stay in RV spot 28. They specifically mentioned the "nice view of the river," which is a significant draw for many campers seeking a picturesque backdrop. The presence of wood chips around the RV spaces was also noted as a positive, although this reviewer also mentioned the typical issue of stickers in shoes common in outdoor environments.
One aspect to be aware of, as mentioned by multiple reviewers, is the proximity to train tracks. While one camper in mid-April stated that the trains were not frequent enough to be disruptive ("not enough to wake us up, in our camper"), another reviewer staying in a riverside spot mentioned "quite a few trains at night and early morning." If you are sensitive to noise, it might be worth considering a campsite further away from the tracks, if available, or bringing earplugs for a more restful night's sleep.
The facilities at Riverland Campground include restrooms and showers. One reviewer mentioned the availability of hot water that lasted a long time, which is certainly a plus for comfort. However, this same reviewer also pointed out some areas needing attention, particularly regarding cleanliness and maintenance of the women's restroom. Issues such as a locked women's side, untaken trash, used items in a shower stall, slippery floors due to escaping water, and a potentially soft subfloor in one shower were noted. Additionally, a mouse turd was reportedly found on a sink. The reviewer indicated that the men's side was in similar condition. It's important to note that this review was from a mid-April stay, which is considered off-peak season, and the reviewer themselves suggested that reduced staffing during this time might have contributed to these issues.
Another reviewer who found the park to be the "best RV park in Columbus" mentioned that the bathroom has two showers and three toilets, with a private back toilet and shower. They also noted good water pressure. This suggests that while there might have been some cleanliness concerns during the off-season visit, the facilities themselves offer essential amenities.
In terms of services, one reviewer who visited during the off-season noted a lack of visible staff on-site during the weekend. While they were able to get through to someone on the phone on Friday, they expressed concern about the availability of assistance if needed during their stay. This is something to consider, especially if you are camping during the quieter times of the year.
Regarding the environment, beyond the river views, one reviewer mentioned finding trash at the back of their campsite, including tampon applicators. This highlights the importance of all campers practicing Leave No Trace principles to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the natural surroundings for everyone to enjoy.

Riverland Campground Reviews
So, I think the location is great. Very beautiful, and just outside of town. There are train tracks nearby we could hear them sometimes, but not enough to wake us up, in our camper. We did go in mid April so not peak season, that might explain some of the negatives. I did not see anyone that appeared to work there the whole weekend. When I called on Friday to ask questions, someone did awnser, but if we needed anything while there, I don't think anyone was around to help.My rating would have been higher but the restrooms brought it down. Plus side, they had hot water, that lasted a long time. Now for the negatives. I think they only have one restroom/ bathhouse while we were there someone locked the door to the whole womens side, so I had to wait till they were done showering. In the women's restroom the trash wasn't taken out in the two days we were there, it looked like it had been there a while. There was used cans and take out cups in the last shower stall. Both showers allowed water to escape and make the tile slippery, in the last stall you can tell the subfloor is getting soft from it. And best for last there was a mouse turd on one of the sinks, my husband said the men's side was about the same.At the back of our campsite were tampon applicators, and other trash. I would stay here again, there might be less staff in the off season causing some of the issues we had.
Apr 28, 2025 · Cassie PredmoreThis is the best RV park in Columbus. We stayed in RV spot 28. Good location. Nice view of the river. Quite a few trains at night and early morning. Not too bad of you are on the spots by the river. Bathroom has two showers and three toilets. Back toilet and shower is private with a door. Good water pressure. A bit dusty but typical for an RV park. The wood chips around the space are nice but we still got a lot of stickers in our shoes.
Oct 19, 2024 · Dianna GibsonWhat an awesome place we had our family reunion here. Cabins are very clean and beautiful! Bob and Betty are very nice people checked to see if we needed anything . Cabins are well stocked with pretty much anything u need. Beautiful views. Very well kept up, very peaceful. We saw deer, eagles, highly recommend! We, as a family, decided this just might be our future reunion place. Thank everyone who helps with making this a great spot to cherish memories ❤️. I'm sure they will be adding more things in the future.
Aug 13, 2024 · Kitty GuthmillerWe had a wonderful stay at the Cottonwood Cabin. It’s a beautiful piece of property right on the river with spectacular views. Perfect for large families and events. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating to all your needs. The cabin was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.
Apr 25, 2024 · Stacy RobertsThe Cottonwood Lodge is beautiful. We were there January 24 and 25 for the family Christmas weekend. Everyone had a good time. It was clean and had everything that we needed. Pet friendly. The Early's were great. We are looking forward to going back when it is warmer outside.
