Roaring River Hills Campground and Cabins Reviews
Wow!! What an amazing experience and relaxing getaway even on a cold winter’s night. My husband made us a fire in the little wood stove and we stayed warm and cozy all evening. The kids got to experience nature and unplugged for a few nights. We had s’mores around the fire pit under a beautiful starry sky. The kids also loved sleeping in the bunk beds. The staff was awesome and delivered our firewood to our tent for us. They even offered to help get the fire going in the wood stove and made us feel right at home. This place is the perfect family getaway. We are already planning our trip back.
Mar 22, 2025 · Dock Home SolutionsRoaring River Hills Campground and Cabins is an absolute gem! I visited on a solo weekend trip, not knowing quite what to expect, but this place completely exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were fantastic, private, peaceful, and an incredible value for the price. The host was hands down the friendliest and most accommodating I’ve ever encountered. They truly go above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. One of the biggest surprises was the bathrooms, spotlessly clean and designed to feel like a personal bathroom rather than the typical campground setup. Honestly, I’ve stayed in mainstream hotels that didn’t match this level of care and quality.I’ll be returning to this area often, and I can’t wait to bring my family next time. If you’re looking for a relaxing, well-kept, and truly hospitable place to stay near Roaring River, this is it!
Mar 05, 2025 · Nathan SturchioWow!! What a cozy little getaway. We loved the primitive tents. All the fun of camping and you don’t have to set your own tent up. This camping spot has tents with electric, RV spots and we’re super friendly. Close to the lake, Roaring River, hiking trails and Arkansas trails. Come out and enjoy some of the outdoors or just a little. Coming back soon
Mar 16, 2025 · Patrick StoneThe glamping tents are a great idea, but they are on the opposite side of the campground as the bathrooms. It’s was an 80 degree day, and we had to ask for the air conditioner that is listed and pictured on their VRBO listing. They charged me an extra $8.50 to use the air conditioner that was both listed as part of the rental, and pictured in the rental pictures, and didn’t even tell us they were going to charge us extra to use the air conditioner.
Apr 30, 2025 · Rebecca StahlAbsolutely brutal cold night. This is advertised as a winter retreat but the stoves are so finicky they filled our tent with smoke and provided 0 heat after we had fires started multiple times. Staff did bring propane heaters to get us through but the smoke filled tent and cold had us regretting trying them. Firewood is not provided (a small bundle is) as advertised. If you want any fire at all you have to buy more. The bathrooms require a drive from the glamping tents also. Wayyy over marketed and falsely advertised. We did enjoy our time around the fire outside before night fall and it is very peaceful. Just make sure you don’t need the stove.
