The services and features available at campgrounds along the Sugar Camp National Forest Scenic Byway can vary significantly depending on the specific location and whether it's a developed campground or a more primitive dispersed camping area. Dispersed camping, another option along the Scenic Byway, offers a more rustic and self-sufficient "camping near me" experience. This type of camping allows you to set up camp outside of developed campgrounds, often in more secluded areas of the National Forest. Sep 04, 2024 · Annee WagnerOne of my most favorite drives to do in the fall. 🍁
Oct 30, 2023 · amber ladawnNo facilities. Main road Is gravel but well maintained . Camping area is small and primitive (no rest room or water that I saw) . The road up to the Camping area is a bit rough but easy enough even in a two wheel drive car.. Very good birding area especially during the spring migration.
May 05, 2023 · William WhaleyIt's a great leisurely cruise for 18.5 miles. Several vista pullovers, a couple of picnic tables located halfway through. There are all kinds of side roads for the more adventurous. Largest part of it is gravel, a smooth ride. DO IT!!!
