Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Waynesville, Missouri area? Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park, located at 161 Revere Ln, Waynesville, MO 65583, USA, presents a unique option for those seeking a quiet and nature-oriented camping experience. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground offers a blend of natural beauty and essential amenities, making it a noteworthy consideration for various types of campers.
The environment surrounding Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park is a significant draw, as highlighted by multiple visitors. The campground is described as being beautifully situated between a mountain and Roubidoux Creek, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. The presence of abundant wildlife, including deer and turkeys frequently wandering through the area, adds to the natural charm and provides opportunities for wildlife viewing right from your campsite. For those seeking "camping near me" that immerses them in nature and offers a peaceful escape, the location of Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park appears to be a strong positive aspect.
In terms of services and features, the campground offers full hookups for RVs, a crucial amenity for travelers who prefer the convenience of electricity, water, and sewer connections. This feature allowed one guest to enjoy a comfortable month-long stay. However, it's important to note that the campground is described as "basic" and "different." While it provides the essential full hookups, it reportedly lacks other common campground facilities. According to one review, the ground within the campground is mostly rock, which might influence the setup and comfort of tent camping, although the primary focus seems to be on RV accommodation. The same review also pointed out that while there is a decent amount of space between campsites, there are no picnic tables provided at the sites, and only a few sites have fire pits. Therefore, campers should come prepared with their own outdoor furniture and cooking arrangements if desired.
Despite the limited amenities beyond the full hookups, the quiet atmosphere of Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park is consistently praised. This makes it an attractive option for those seeking a peaceful retreat away from the noise and bustle of more developed campgrounds. The combination of a serene natural setting and the availability of essential RV hookups seems to cater to a specific type of camper who values tranquility and self-sufficiency over extensive on-site facilities.
One of the most notable features mentioned in a review is the affordability of Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park, with a reported nightly rate of only $20. This makes it a particularly appealing option for budget-conscious travelers or those looking for an economical overnight stay while passing through the area. The combination of full hookups at such a low price point is a significant advantage, especially compared to other campgrounds that might charge considerably more for similar basic services.
Considering the proximity to Waynesville, MO, and potentially Fort Leonard Wood (though not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, the location suggests accessibility), Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park could be a convenient option for visitors to the area, including those with military connections or those exploring the natural attractions of Pulaski County. The quiet environment might also be appreciated by those seeking a restful stay after a long journey or a busy day of local activities.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. The focus is on the basic features, natural environment, and affordability of the campground. To inquire about potential discounts for longer stays, seasonal promotions, or any other special offers, it would be best to contact Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers: (573) 774-6171 or +1 573-774-6171. Direct communication will also allow you to confirm the availability of sites, any specific policies, and the current nightly rates.
In summary, Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park offers a unique "camping near me" experience in Waynesville, MO. Its key strengths include a quiet and picturesque setting nestled between a mountain and Roubidoux Creek, frequent wildlife sightings, and the availability of full RV hookups at a very affordable price of $20 per night. However, it is important to note that the campground is basic, primarily rock-based, and lacks amenities such as picnic tables and fire pits at all sites, as well as other common campground facilities. This makes it particularly suitable for RV travelers who prioritize full hookups, a peaceful natural environment, and budget-friendly rates over extensive on-site conveniences. It also appears to be a good option for overnight stays while passing through the area. For tent campers or those seeking more developed campground amenities, this might not be the ideal choice. As with any campground, contacting the owners directly for the most up-to-date information and to address any specific needs or concerns is highly recommended.

Roubidoux Spring Campground & RV Park Reviews
Great Campground!!! Very quiet and set between a mountain and a creek!!! Lots of deer and turkeys wandering around!!!! Full hookups! We spent a month there!!!!
Jan 18, 2025 · Dave HollingsheadThis is a different kind of basic campground. It has full hookups, but the campground itself is mostly Rock. There is a decent amount of space between sites. There are no other facilities in the park. A few sites have a fire pit, but none have a picnic table. The greatest thing about it is that it is only $20 per night. This makes it good for just an overnight stay. I would stay again when passing through.
May 01, 2023 · Wayne KupplerGreat little city run RV park… has all needed utilities and hookups, but has no amenities… the park appears to be a seasonal park with lots of long term residents… we stayed one night as a place to sleep with a quick run to Fort Lenardwood. commissary for supplies..
