Rupert's Resort Campground Introduce
Looking for camping near you in the Bremen, Indiana area? Rupert's Resort Campground, located at 3408 W Shore Dr, Bremen, IN 46506, offers a lakeside camping experience. You can reach them at (574) 276-7595 or their mobile number, +1 574-276-7595, for inquiries and information. While considering your options for 'camping near me', it's important to understand the unique characteristics of each campground to ensure it aligns with your preferences.
Based on recent customer feedback available online, Rupert's Resort Campground appears to cater to a diverse crowd, with some visitors describing it as having a "party" atmosphere. This suggests that the campground may have a lively social scene, with music potentially extending into the later hours. If you are looking for a more vibrant and social camping experience, this might be something to consider. However, if you prioritize a quiet and serene environment, it's worth noting this aspect of the campground.
The campground offers primitive camping options, and recent reviews indicate that availability, at least for these sites, may not always require advance reservations. This could be a convenient option for those seeking a last-minute camping getaway in the 'camping near me' category. One reviewer mentioned paying $60 for two nights of primitive camping. It's advisable to confirm the current pricing and any potential differences between primitive and other types of campsites directly with the campground.
In terms of the natural environment, one positive aspect highlighted by a visitor is the good size of the campsites, particularly within the primitive area. Additionally, the availability of natural resources like sticks for campfires was noted as a convenience. This suggests that the primitive camping area offers a relatively natural setting where campers can easily gather materials for their campfires, enhancing the traditional camping experience.
However, it's crucial to consider some of the less favorable feedback regarding the campground's environment and facilities. Multiple reviews point out concerns about cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom facilities. One reviewer explicitly stated that due to the "party" atmosphere, the bathrooms were not the cleanest. For campers who place a high value on clean and well-maintained restrooms, this is an important factor to take into account when searching for 'camping near me'.
Another significant concern raised by a visitor was the severe issue with mosquitoes in the primitive camping area. This individual described it as potentially "the worst place I've camped in Indiana in terms of bugs," making it difficult to enjoy any time outside the tent. Depending on the time of year and your tolerance for insects, this could significantly impact your camping experience. It might be prudent to inquire about the current bug situation and whether any measures are taken to mitigate it before making a booking, especially if you plan on spending considerable time outdoors.
Furthermore, the overall condition of the campground was described as "somewhat run down" by one reviewer. This individual also noted the presence of "lots of trash/junk" in the primitive camping areas and fire pits. This suggests that the upkeep and maintenance of certain areas of the campground might be lacking. If you prioritize a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing camping environment, this feedback warrants careful consideration.
In summary, Rupert's Resort Campground offers a lakeside location in Bremen, Indiana, providing primitive camping options that may be readily available without reservations. It appears to have a lively, "party" atmosphere, which could be appealing to some campers. The campsites in the primitive area are reportedly of good size, and natural firewood may be easily found. However, potential drawbacks include concerns about the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities, a significant mosquito problem in the primitive area, and the overall run-down condition with the presence of trash in some camping spots.
When considering Rupert's Resort Campground as part of your search for 'camping near me', it's essential to weigh these factors against your personal preferences and priorities for a camping experience. If you are looking for a social atmosphere and are less concerned about pristine facilities and potential bug issues, it might be an option. However, if you prioritize cleanliness, a peaceful environment, and freedom from insects, you may want to explore other campgrounds in the vicinity.
For local users exploring 'camping near me', it's always recommended to directly contact Rupert's Resort Campground at (574) 276-7595 or +1 574-276-7595 to get the most up-to-date information on availability, pricing, specific site conditions, and any current advisories regarding insects or facilities. Rupert's Resort Campground Reviews
This is a party campground. Some are family and some are party. This one is definitely party. That means it doesn’t have the cleanest bathroom. The music is loud into the late night. We do primitive camping for 2 nights and it’s $60. The sights are good sized and you can always find sticks around for your fire.
Sep 05, 2022 · JessicaFirst, on the positive side, there were plenty of sites available (at least primitive) without needing a reservation. However, that's probably because the primitive area was so bad with mosquitoes that you couldn't really enjoy any time outside your tent. It just may very well have been the worst place I've camped in Indiana in terms of bugs. The overall campground is also somewhat run down and there was lots of trash/junk in the primitive camping areas and fire pits. So if you absolutely can't find a camping site anywhere else, you might want to check out this place, but otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Jul 24, 2021 · David RigglemanGreat campground for going out on the boat. This is a place with wonder people and so many memories! Also they have a slide and there is a roped of section to swim in. Not once have I ever seen a leach there.
Dec 06, 2021 · H PBeware of the boat ramp and the transition from concrete to sand. Small drop off I thought would be ok but my trailer bottomed out and dragged along the concrete when putting in. Hooked the straps back up and headed to the public launch instead. Really wish this ramp was nicer since the public launch can fill up quick.
