We stayed at S’more of this cabin June 23-June 26. The problems started before we even got to the cabin.1. The check in time on the rental agreement provided after booking clearly states check in time at 11:00am and check out time at 4:00 pm. We have stayed at many cabins before and it seemed like an odd time since the website states otherwise. I called Hochatown Dream Cabins to verify the time before our trip and we were told the times on the contract were incorrect. I was then told the check in time was 4:00 pm and check in time 11:00 am.2. We never received a check in email that usually contains the address of the cabin with the entry code. I called Hochatown Dream Cabins and spoke to Shawn. Shawn briefly answered the phone telling me the code would be in the email. I informed him I never received an email with any instructions and without even asking me what cabin I was calling about he verbally gave me the code. I sent an email provided on the rental agreement asking to please forward the check in email. The email only included an address and the code he provided. I googled the address and the cabin that came up was different than the one booked. We call him again to inform and he gives us a different code with the correct address that matches the rental agreement.3. The propane take was empty. We call and speak to Shawn once again and he tells us that he will send someone out ASAP. 1 hour went by and no one showed up. We call Shawn again and he tells us that the person that was supposed to come had to take his children somewhere and that it would just be easier for us to refill the tank ourselves. He then apologizes for the inconvenience and tells us to expect a $400 refund for all the troubles we have experienced so far. We take the tank and get it refilled out of our pockets.4. The next day, the ac stops working around 5pm. I called Shawn and informed him that the AC was down and the inside of the cabin was 78 degrees. He states “I will send someone out ASAP”. We wait for an hour and call back to get an ETA for the HVAC company and we are told that they should be almost there. No one ever shows and the inside of the cabin reaches 87 degrees. I called multiple times before going to bed with no response. I finally get a hold of Shawn the next morning and he apologizes for not answering the calls from the previous night because he fell asleep. He states he would call a different HVAC company and asks me to look and make sure the breakers look okay. I asked where I would find them and he then tells me to look around because he does not know since he has never even been to this property before. The HVAC person finally shows up and after an hour of work reports the issue fixed. He leaves and then the AC goes down again. The HVAC person had to be called back once again. This left us with 24 hours of no AC in the cabin.5. No email was ever received with check out instructions6. We have yet to receive the $400 refund we were told.7. Shawn stopped all communication with us. Does not answer calls or emails.The cabin is nice but it lacks maintenance. I sent the owner a message on Instagram the day we checked in asking about the access code and she was very polite providing the information. I sent her a message when the AC went out and have not received a response.
