Serene Haven Retreat Campground Reviews
This is a smaller private campground at the moment but they are working extremely hard at expanding and improving campsites aswell as the campground as a whole. Ashley the owner and all of her staff were amazing. I booked in the middle of the night online on last min plans so we caught them a little off guard as they were in the process of laying some fresh gravel for their entrances and roads. They set aside their project for a few mins to help me get unstuck from some mud because it had rained very heavily for a few days before our trip. They then gave us an alternate parking spot while they finished the new gravel and helped transport us and all our stuff to our site in their jeep and we later retrieved my truck when the gravel was done. They also gave me a ride back up to get it. There's some great views of the lake and though it was a bit wet for some hiking that day our site was good and our supplies stayed dry. Campsites had good privacy and all u needed with a fire ring a grill and a Porta potty just around the corner. An overall great experience that started with a little twist but everyone was more than accommodating to ensure we had no trouble enjoying our site with everything we needed. We will defenitly be going back soon. This will no doubt be one of the best campgrounds near the gorge in the near future
