Shell Campground & Cabins Reviews
We were going to camp near Ten Sleep but it was too cold so we switched to here. So glad we did. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. The cabin was warm and clean with a REAL shower! We got a recommendation for an excellent hike just outside of town. There's also a wonderful store just down the street where we talked to lots of friendly locals. We even helped find the owner of an escaped baby pig!
Jun 16, 2024 · Jeff b.I would recommend this place to anyone! My husband, grandparents, and our dogs stayed in the “glamping tents,” and LOVED them! They were so clean, and cute. The views were gorgeous, and the bathrooms were neat and sanitized. Everything felt very safe, we loved being there!
Jun 22, 2024 · Abby LawsonPerfect place to stay if you are looking to explore the Bighorns. Shell is right at the base of the mountains so within minutes you are in the canyon. Overall, the campground is very nice and we found the cabins to be perfect for us- they were clean and in great shape and the check-in process is super easy. If you stay here, be sure to head over to the Old Shell store as they also own and run that (and its great!). I just want to note: there is nothing else in Shell for shopping or food so be sure to get whatever supplies you need or grab food in Greybull before coming here and most everything in Greybull closes at 8 pm so plan accordingly!
Jun 17, 2024 · Benjamin HoppCute, comfy, peaceful, and well organized. Liked the folk who stay here. Intimate campground on a small property. Drive here through BigHorn forest was incredible. Stopped at Shell Creek waterfalls on the way, lovely.
Aug 06, 2024 · Michelle PeacockThe campground and cabin areas were well kept and clean. The self-check-in was convenient. The cabin was the perfect size for a couple and had a nice porch to sit on in the evening. The cabin looked relatively new, nicely decorated and very clean. We had an issue with the water heater and had trouble getting a hold of the management, but got things resolved pretty quickly afterward. It was a great place to stop for the night after exploring Shell Falls.
