Short Creek Guard Station Reviews
This cabin has running water! There is a kitchen sink, bathroom sink, flush toilet, and a shower. Propane powers the cookstove, refrigerator, heater, and lamps. There is a table and chairs, couch, armchair, and bed. In the closet at the back are two folded-up cots. Outside is a fire pit and picnic table. (Renters must bring their own firewood.) The windows have screens, but there is no screen door at the front or back doors. Although a paved Forest Service road goes right by the cabin, it doesn't see a high volume of traffic, so it's pretty quiet here. No cell phone signal, which is pretty nice. I didn't see any wildlife, just LOTS and LOTS of cows. There is no cleaning service in-between renters and everyone must clean up after themselves. The cabin was fairly clean when I arrived except that the previous renter had a dog that they didn't clean up after. The furniture was covered in dog hair.
