The ranch offers diverse camping locations, including the "Skydeck" situated at the border of the National Forest, suggesting potential access to wilderness areas and scenic views. Additionally, there is a "large drive-in fenced corral area" where camping is also available. This variety in campsite types allows campers to choose an environment that best suits their preferences, whether it's closer to nature or in a more contained area.
The presence of the National Forest border adjacent to the Skydeck indicates that campers at Sky Ranch may have easy access to hiking trails, nature walks, and the general outdoor recreational opportunities offered by the National Forest. In terms of services and features, Sky Ranch in Big Bear seems to offer some unique and valuable amenities. One notable feature is the availability of a "very large fenced dog run for the large dogs." This makes it an exceptionally dog-friendly camping location, allowing pet owners to let their dogs exercise and socialize in a secure environment. This is a significant advantage for those traveling with larger breeds who need ample space to run.
Furthermore, the reviewer mentioned having "access to the house bathroom as well as water," indicating that campers have access to essential facilities beyond what might be typically found at a more rustic campsite. The availability of a house bathroom suggests a level of comfort and convenience that can enhance the camping experience. Access to water is, of course, a fundamental necessity for any camping trip.
The host at Sky Ranch is described as "very accommodating," implying a welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests. This personal touch can significantly contribute to a positive camping experience, making campers feel more comfortable and well-cared for.
Another significant feature highlighted in the review is the spaciousness of the campsites, especially when compared to the often crowded and expensive camping options within the Big Bear area itself. The reviewer noted that Sky Ranch offers "a much larger space," which can enhance privacy and the overall enjoyment of the camping experience. This is a compelling reason for those seeking a more relaxed and less confined camping setting near Big Bear.

To learn about any special rates, seasonal offers, or other promotions at Sky Ranch in Big Bear, it would be necessary to find their direct contact information (such as a phone number or website) through additional online searches or local camping directories. Sky Ranch in Big Bear Reviews
Very quiet & spacious campsite just outside Big Bear city limits. There are several places you can camp from the Skydeck at the border of the National Forest or a large drive-in fenced corral area. There were many cute ground squirrels in the corral area where we camped & my dog had a great time chasing them. An added atttraction is a very large fenced dog run for the large dogs. You have access to the house bathroom as well as water and host was very accommodating. Definitely recommend here compared to the high camping prices in the Big Bear area not to mention a much larger space.
