Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC Introduce
If you're a local resident searching for "camping near me" with a lakeside focus, Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC, located at 3000 Soap Creek Lodge Rd, Lincolnton, GA 30817, USA, presents itself as a potential destination. They can be contacted at (706) 359-4100 or their mobile number, +1 706-359-4100, for inquiries and reservations. Situated by a marina, this resort offers cabin accommodations and access to lake activities.
Based on available customer feedback, the environment of Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC centers around its proximity to the water and marina facilities. The resort appears to be a recurring destination for annual fishing trips, suggesting that the lake is a significant feature, appealing to anglers and those who enjoy being near the water. The presence of a marina implies opportunities for boating and potentially other water-related activities. However, specific details about the lake's accessibility, size, or surrounding natural features are not elaborated upon in the provided reviews.
In terms of services and features, Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC offers cabin stays as its primary form of accommodation. These cabins seem to cater to groups, particularly those on fishing trips. One review mentions that the cabins "serve our purposes" for an annual trip, indicating they provide a functional space for lodging. However, this same review also notes that the cabins are "getting a little worn out and will need remodeling soon," suggesting that the condition of the accommodations might be a point of consideration for potential guests.
The resort also appears to have a dining facility, as indicated by a customer's experience at what seems to be a restaurant on the premises. This could be a convenient amenity for guests who prefer on-site dining options. However, the specific experience shared was negative, citing issues with seating arrangements (being placed near a door with hot air and bugs), slow service resulting in cold food (despite ordering before larger groups), and unexpected charges for condiments. This feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in the dining service that prospective visitors should be aware of.
One positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the responsiveness of the staff to maintenance issues within the cabins. When a shower broke in one of the cabins, spraying water into the wall and bedroom, the staff "came out and fixed it in a hurry." This indicates a level of responsiveness to immediate maintenance needs, which can be crucial for ensuring a comfortable stay despite the aging infrastructure.
Considering the limited information available, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of all services and features. There is no mention of traditional camping sites for tents or RVs, nor are there details about other potential amenities such as recreational areas, hiking trails, or a camp store. The focus of the provided feedback is primarily on the cabin accommodations and a single dining experience.
Regarding promotional information, there are no specific promotions or special offers mentioned in the provided reviews. The fact that a group returns annually for a fishing trip could be seen as an implicit endorsement of the location for that specific purpose, but it doesn't constitute a general promotion for all types of visitors.
In summary, Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC offers a lakeside setting with cabin accommodations and marina access, making it a potential option for those searching for "camping near me" with a focus on lake activities, particularly fishing. While the resort appears to be a recurring choice for some, it's important for prospective visitors to consider the feedback regarding the condition of the cabins, which are described as "worn out" and in need of remodeling. Additionally, the reported negative dining experience suggests that this aspect of the resort might not consistently meet expectations. However, the prompt response to a maintenance issue indicates a degree of attentiveness from the staff.
For local users considering Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC, the key takeaways are its lakeside location, cabin-style lodging, and marina facilities. If your priority is being close to the water for fishing or boating and you are aware of the potential for dated cabin conditions and inconsistent dining service, this resort might still serve your needs. It would be advisable to inquire directly with the resort about the current state of the cabins and any available amenities to get a more complete picture before making a reservation. While the annual return of a fishing group suggests a positive experience for that specific type of visit, the other feedback highlights areas where improvements may be needed. Therefore, an informed decision should be based on weighing the potential benefits of the location against the noted drawbacks in accommodation condition and dining service.

Soap Creek Marina and Resort LLC Reviews
There is only 2 tables occupied when we got there. Was put by the door for the patio. Hot air and bugs coming in the whole time. Asked to be moved but by then the other tables were taken. All of our good was cold ( ordered before the big groups) charged us $5.60 for sauce for our wings ( we didn’t get anything when they brought them out. ) it was 2 of our birthdays so ruined our night of celebration
Jul 20, 2023 · Cindy McCabeWe stay here every year for our annual fishing trip. Everything was good except our shower broke and sprayed water in the wall and into the bedroom. They came out and fixed it in a hurry. The cabins are getting a little worn out and will need remodeling soon but they serve our purposes.
Apr 10, 2024 · David Brian WeathersThe place itself is very nice we stayed in one of the cabins and that was nice. Now the restaurant at the marina just by the service I got from the bartender and then being told they don't take to go orders after 5 when I called before to inquire and was never told this I will not go back there. Secondly although the beach was nice what ruined it for us was the rude group that decided it was going to take over the whole beach making it so uncomfortable for my family to even enjoy ourselves. Even to the point we couldn't even swim as there boats were every where beached.I drive 3 hours for that trip and I think I'll just stay up at our lakes where the people are amazing and our busy marina restaurant doesn't turn away to go orders.
Jun 14, 2023 · Jamie MayabbThe food was quite tasty and we were seated quickly despite being there on a busy Saturday night. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and there was atmospheric live music for most of the evening. The area was a bit crowded and noisy, but there were plenty of quiet areas to walk away to for a break. You can drive to and park here on a boat, as we did, with no problems. Also, no dogs are allowed, even on the outdoor seating.
Jun 19, 2022 · Jessica HoggGreat pontoon boat rental. 2nd time renting here. Lots of place to fish all around. They don't offer live bait here... gotta go into S.C. for that before you get on the boat.
