Southshore on Detroit Lake Reviews
We got slot #26, and it was amazing. The camp host was a great guy and very helpful. He kept the bathrooms very clean, which are right across from the sight
Sep 29, 2024 · Mrs. AllenCampground was clean! Gary the camphost was very helpful & friendly. There is a boat launch but it gets very backed up & there is limited parking. I would recommend experienced boaters maneuver their boat to launch as the dock wasn't straight at the time when we were there.
Jul 27, 2020 · Mel WyandThe view was amazing! Campground was clean. Tom, the host, is super friendly and we loved having him come by just to say "hi". Already planning our next trip here.
Jul 13, 2024 · Derek ArnesonWe were incredibly lucky to find an open place on 4th of July weekend and it was overlooking the lake with a great little view. There was a trail to a tiny little rock beach from our camp and we got another great early morning view of the lake.Clean facilities, friendly staff, and so beautifully quiet in the morning with the lake glassy and peaceful.
Jul 06, 2020 · Amber TaylorWe just spent four nights and three days here and buckle up because I have some compliments for this place. First of all, the thought of having to use a vaulted toilet scared me, I’ll be honest. Luckily they were so clean and well maintained, it helped distract me a bit. Secondly, the view from the campsites are incredible. We went to almost every site and there was always a gorgeous view of the lake. Third and certainly not last, the park host, Tom. Tom is a very down to earth guy who is so passionate about the outdoors. His smile and friendly demeanor never failed to greet us daily, and he even would offer up some knowledge of the wilderness to us while out and about maintaining the park. He loves what he does, and he takes great pride in his work with this park. If you visit this place for anything, visit it for Tom’s hospitality. He’s doing good things over here.Sincerely,A Returning Camper
