Southwest Shore Campground Reviews
Very nice camp grounds, with fire pits, and a path alongside the lake to walk . Your dogs will love it. the bathrooms were not available at this time. But the view was outstanding and the night very quiet and peaceful.
May 03, 2025 · Bluebell NavaratnaI really enjoyed the slower pace of this campground. It has a quality vault toilet that is maintained very well and access to the lake. Although depending on water level you may have to walk a little ways down to it.Southwest Shore Campground is easy to find and a great deal at $12.00 a night. The campground is a mile off the main road so you dont have the constant road noise to deal with. If you are more of a glamper maybe pass on this one, but if vault toilet's dont phase you, this is a sure bet. Beautiful scenery, nice fire pits and quiet solitude make it a 🌟🌟🌟🌟 star.
Jun 19, 2023 · Randy AlvarezI absolutely appreciate this campground host to be so truly awesome. Our daughter was lifeflighted from Baker City to Bosie id St Lukes hospital to have an emergency c section at 26 weeks shy of when he should have been born. He came in at 2.5 lbs. He was just taken off his feeding tube, this means mom and dad can stay with him. My husband and I threw together what we could in about 15 minutes and raced from Vancouver Washington to Baker City Or. These camp hosts made sure that we were kept warm or if we needed anything. So when I give full marks it’s because the campground went above and beyond the call of Duty!
Jul 27, 2022 · Aussie AllenNice place to camp if you like it a little primitive. There are bathrooms ( more like honey buckets ) but no showers. You have to bring in your own water and pack out your own garbage but its quiet and only about 15 sites to camp in. Philips lake is pretty big and allows motorized boats and ski doos. You can also ski the lake. Also good for canoes and rubber rafts. Whatever floats your boat.
Jul 25, 2018 · Patricia BrownQuiet spot other than noise from Sandhill Cranes, which we didn't mind. Eagles around too. Water way down. Does anyone know this campground is here? Wondering because it's 4th of July weekend and we're the only campers here.
