Good place for the price. Will probably go back. The 2 downsides. 1 the beach is across the road kids can't go anytime unless with a parent and no playground. 2 the portapotties needed serious cleaning, they were really full and completely OUT of toilet paper really glad we brought our own. If they put in an actual bathroom with a coded entry or the like it would be a huge plus. Oh 3 things. Number 3 the entry way was really washed away from the rain. Huge crevices that were way worse than even the worst pothole. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Again we will probably be back because the campsites aren't super close but close enough for big groups. We had 12 adults and 15 kids. It was good. - Amanda Christen

Stubler Beach and Campground Introduce

If you're browsing platforms under the category "camping near me," Stubler Beach offers a unique outdoor experience with its own set of appealing features and considerations.

Embrace the Natural Beauty and Fishing Opportunities:

One of the standout aspects of Stubler Beach and Campground, as highlighted by visitors, is its beautiful scenery. Imagine waking up to picturesque views and the tranquility of nature right at your doorstep. For those who love to cast a line, the campground boasts amazing fishing spots. Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking to relax by the water with a rod, this location promises rewarding fishing opportunities. Picture spending your days enjoying the serene environment and potentially reeling in a great catch.

Spacious Campsites Ideal for Group Gatherings:

Planning a camping trip with a large group of family or friends? Stubler Beach and Campground could be an excellent option. Reviews indicate that the campsites offer ample space, making them suitable for big groups. One reviewer mentioned comfortably accommodating 12 adults and 15 children, emphasizing the generous layout of the camping areas. This means you can enjoy the camaraderie of a large gathering without feeling cramped or on top of each other, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Important Considerations for Your Stay:

While Stubler Beach and Campground offers attractive features, it's important to be aware of certain aspects mentioned by previous visitors to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip.

Beach Access: The beach is located across the road from the campground. This means that access to the beach for children requires adult supervision at all times to ensure their safety while crossing. If beach access is a primary focus for unsupervised play, this is a factor to keep in mind when planning your stay.

Lack of Playground: Families with young children should note that there is no playground within the campground. If a playground is a must-have amenity for keeping the kids entertained, you might need to consider bringing your own outdoor games and activities to keep them occupied and happy during your camping trip.

Sanitation Facilities: Based on recent feedback, the port-a-potties at the campground have been a point of concern. One reviewer noted that they were quite full and lacked toilet paper. It's advisable to come prepared with your own supply of toilet paper and possibly hand sanitizer. The reviewer also suggested that the addition of an actual bathroom facility with secure access would be a significant improvement to the overall camping experience.

Entryway Condition: Another practical consideration is the condition of the entryway to the campground. One visitor reported that the rain had significantly washed it away, creating large crevices that were worse than potholes. If you are traveling in a vehicle with low clearance, it would be wise to exercise caution when entering and exiting the campground. Checking recent conditions or contacting the campground beforehand might be beneficial, especially after periods of heavy rain.

Value for Money and Potential Return Visits:

Despite the noted downsides, a reviewer mentioned that Stubler Beach and Campground offers good value for its price and indicated a likelihood of returning. This suggests that the positive aspects, such as the scenery and spacious campsites, outweigh the inconveniences for some visitors, especially those prioritizing space and natural surroundings over extensive amenities.

Promotional Information and Local Exploration:

While specific promotional offers aren't available in the provided information, it's always a good idea to check local listings or contact the campground directly for any seasonal discounts, group rates, or special packages they might be offering. When you choose Stubler Beach and Campground for your "camping near me" search, you're not just getting a campsite; you're also positioning yourself to explore the local area of Buhl, Minnesota. Take the opportunity to discover nearby attractions, local eateries, and other outdoor recreational activities that the region has to offer. This could include hiking trails, local lakes, or charming town centers.

In Conclusion:

Stubler Beach and Campground presents a camping option for local users seeking natural beauty, excellent fishing, and spacious campsites suitable for large groups. While it's essential to be aware of the limitations regarding beach access for unsupervised children, the absence of a playground, the condition of the portable restrooms, and the potential challenges with the entryway, the campground still holds appeal for those who prioritize the scenic environment and the ability to camp comfortably with many people. By being prepared and understanding these aspects, you can make an informed decision and potentially enjoy a memorable camping experience at Stubler Beach and Campground.
