Tellico Plains/Cherokee National Forest KOA Reviews
Traveling with my boyfriend from Michigan to Florida and this was the PERFECT spot to stop half way to sleep. The communication from the camp is top-tier. I was texting them the day before we arrived / giving updates as unpredictable things can arise on road trips and they were MORE than accommodating and kind in their responses! We reserved the small Glamping tent and it was perfect for what we needed. We arrived at 12AM, they left the lights on for us and made the check in so effortlessly easy it was a blessing for us at that hour. Since we were communicating, they also left the bed heater and the heater in the tent on so it was nice and toasty when we arrived(we stayed on Christmas day)! They left us a super sweet Christmas card with a little treat when we arrived, too! It was such a nice, comforting thing to arrive to and sleep after 9 hours on the road. The showers / bathrooms are so clean and the water pressure and water heat is amazing!!! Thank you so much for housing us for a night, Camp Mecca, it was the saving grace and highlight of our road trip!!
Dec 27, 2024 · meganI stayed at mecca electric tent site. The bathroom facility was as clean as your own home. The ability to have a clean showers was great. There is a cute spot to make coffee and wash sink for dishes ect. The pool was clean...I can't say enough about the host and community were so hospitality. If your considering staying and maybe on the fence trust me, I camp alot and hands down the cleanest friendliest people ever
Jul 22, 2024 · Tiffany KristofekWe camped in a tent for a week with our group. The service was top notch! Anything we asked for or needed they responded to very quickly! The Porch was a great place for our group to gather for worship and we had no issues with Internet. It was great for kids with the pool, playground and smaller area so we didn't have to worry about how far they had gone with their bikes. It was also very clean and the showers have high pressure. We can't wait to go back next year!
Oct 08, 2023 · Jayson & Karen KornhausWe stayed between Christmas and New Years and we were so happy with Mecca Camp Resort. We were in a 43' Motorhome pulling a trailer. Sites were easy to enter and exit. The Resort is not meant to be a Motorcoach resort, the pads are gravel and its pretty open. But what they do have that is so rare, is GREAT communication! It was about the best I've experienced. A word of note, there is no sewer hook up, but a call to the office and a short while later the honey badger was there and he cleaned us out. I would definitely stay here again!
Jan 09, 2024 · Sean CarragherWe came to this area to check out places to live. There weren’t many options for campgrounds so landed here out of necessity but we are sure happy we did. The owners, Chris and Julia, are lovely folks who put their heart and soul into running this place. The site was fairly level and very long, fairly close to your neighbors but acceptable. The bathhouse/restroom is adorable and clean but the best part is the water pressure and hot water. We enjoyed an evening at The Porch (a small venue the owners have on property that serves beer) listening to great music (Josh Bearden) and eating delicious low boil seafood from The Crusty Crab food truck. There is water, electricity and a service to come pump out your tanks whenever needed. There is a dog park, playground, pool and picnic area where they will feed you free pancakes on Sunday mornings. We would come back here again in a heartbeat.
