Cherohala Mountain Trails Campground Reviews
Quiet, peacfull, and a great value. The grounds are clean and inviting. The amenities are better than expectations. The restrooms and showers are clean and breakfast is very enjoyable. I came here for a place to set up a tent and my expectations were well exceeded by what was offered for my tent fee. I will come here again any chance I get.
Mar 30, 2025 · JamesWent here for our anniversary. Our time here was hands down the most amazing experience I've ever had on a vacation. Kelley and Wayne are so amazing My children absolutely adored them.Everything from food the lodging and everything in between was amazing.
Feb 17, 2025 · Allexander LeaseWe stayed here mid October so we could ride the skyway & Tail of the Dragon and I found this doing a search and I'm glad I found it and we stayed here. We loved the grounds, location was close to town for groceries and close to the skyway entrance. As others had said, the WiFi is best close to the main cabin but don't let this deter you from staying. We stayed in our trailer that's been converted so we didn't stay in the cabins but did check them out and they were nice on the inside. If you need electric hook up, make sure you bring a 3 way plug to hook up (we had our own) but we heard you can purchase from Kellie & Wayne at the main cabin. There is a central spot for water (the RV spots had a water connection but no water) but again, don't let this deter you from staying. The owners were wonderful people and Wayne checked on people daily and almost nightly asking if anyone needed firewood due to it being in the 30s at night. They are also pet friendly - our dog had a great time!We stayed a week and highly enjoyed our stay - we will DEFINITELY be repeat customers!
Oct 26, 2024 · Claire LWow what a great find. Wayne and his crew run a first class all brands motorcycle campground. Choice of hammock camping racks provided, or tents. They offer individual cabins as well.Fires are welcome, but a community fire pit is included each evening.Showers, wifi, and even eggs to order breakfast in the morningFree coffee and a pastry for poverty riders.Dual sport is their language but all bikes are welcome.
Oct 20, 2024 · Jim GlimpseThis is a great campground for motorcycles and general outdoor adventure enthusiasts. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. If you are a dual sport/ADV rider the owner is familiar with the SM500 and other trails in the area. Price and amenities are good and the location is perfect for a base camp to the Tellico area and points south.
