Its direct frontage on the Santa Rosa Sound provides guests with waterfront access, offering opportunities for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing by the water's edge and enjoying the scenic views. The campground also boasts mature trees throughout the property, providing ample shade, which is particularly valued during the warm Florida climate. The Hideaway Retreat Reviews
We recently stated stayed at The Hideaway Retreat for a month, and we had no complaints! The location is wonderful, right on the Santa Rosa Sound and just a few miles from Navarre Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore, both of which we spent a lot of time at!Our dogs really enjoyed playing ball every afternoon on the Hidden Beach! This feature was probably as important to us as was the small size and location of the property.I’d have to say that JOEY, the always-friendly maintenance person, was just such a positive presence on the property. I watched him interact with several guests with a BIG smile, a funny word or two and usually a warm handshake! We would definitely stay here again!
Apr 07, 2025 · Kim FrankenWe recently had a fantastic month long stay at Hideaway Retreat. The park itself is beautiful, with mature trees providing ample shade and a picturesque beach just steps away.Joey, the maintenance guy, was a true highlight. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming to us and our kids, even hiding shells on the beach for them to find. This extra touch made our stay even more enjoyable. While navigating our 43-foot fifth wheel through the park required some maneuvering, we were able to do so without issue. We recommend contacting the staff beforehand if you have any concerns about accessibility with larger RVs.Note to future guests: If Angela is still working there, we would look elsewhere. She appears friendly and nice, but she is confrontational and aggressive. Assuming she is gone, we will be back in the future.Overall, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend Hideaway Retreat for a relaxing getaway.
Apr 03, 2025 · Melvin SchmidJust about to leave The Hideaway Retreat - we had a great time here! It's a small wooded campground right on the water with a lot of charm. The staff is friendly and skillful at making this a well run campground. And I love a place that takes good care of their trees and they do that here.Sorry to have to leave... Definitely coming back!
Mar 23, 2025 · Lurene EkwurtzelWe recently stayed at Hideaway Retreat and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Most sites have a view of the water, and the short walk to the beach makes morning and evening strolls a breeze. The property is clean and well-maintained, and Joey, the maintenance man, was a wealth of knowledge and incredibly helpful. While there are quite a few rules, it’s clear the management takes pride in keeping the place in top shape. We love a good campfire and even bring our own Solo Stove, but open flames aren’t allowed. That said, I highly recommend Site 21—being so close to the community fire pit and games makes it feel like your own private setup. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxing getaway!
Feb 21, 2025 · jamie whiteWe stayed here on March 31st and absolutely loved it! The property is well maintained and facilitates are clean. The owner upgraded us to a premium site upon arrival, which we greatly appreciated! The resort is very dog friendly with dog beach sessions in the morning and afternoon, our dogs loved their time on the beach! 🥰
