Thousand Trails Orlando Introduce
Looking for the ideal "camping near me" in the Orlando area? Consider Thousand Trails Orlando, located at 2110 Thousand Trails Blvd, Clermont, FL 34714, USA. You can reach them at (352) 394-5531 or +1 352-394-5531. Based on numerous positive reviews, this campground offers a welcoming atmosphere, a wide array of amenities, and a convenient location for exploring the attractions of Central Florida.
One of the standout features of Thousand Trails Orlando, according to customer feedback, is the friendliness and helpfulness of the employees. One reviewer specifically mentioned "Bo at the front gate" who "went above and beyond to make us feel welcome" during their first visit. This emphasis on excellent customer service suggests that guests can expect a positive and supportive experience from the staff throughout their stay.
The cleanliness of the facilities is also frequently highlighted. One review explicitly mentioned "very clean bathrooms and showers," which is an important factor for many campers when choosing a campground. This indicates a commitment to maintaining a comfortable and hygienic environment for guests.
Thousand Trails Orlando is described as a "very large campground" with a notable characteristic: it has "3 very distinct sections with different atmospheres in each." This suggests that the campground can cater to various preferences, whether you're looking for a lively community feel or a quieter, more secluded spot. Upon arrival, it might be beneficial to inquire about the different sections to find the one that best suits your camping style.
For those who appreciate a wide range of activities and conveniences, Thousand Trails Orlando appears to deliver. Reviews mention that "they have basketball, pool, gym, activity center, propane, pickleball, mini golf, laundry. All the amenities you could think of." This extensive list indicates that there are plenty of options to keep campers of all ages entertained and comfortable during their stay. Whether you want to stay active, relax by the pool, or take care of laundry, these amenities are readily available.
The location of Thousand Trails Orlando is also a significant advantage. It's noted that the campground is "about 20 minutes from Disney with all the shopping, food options surrounding it." This proximity makes it an excellent base for those planning to visit the Orlando theme parks and enjoy the diverse culinary and retail experiences the area has to offer. After a day of excitement at the parks, you can return to the campground for a relaxing evening.
While the overall experience seems highly positive, some suggestions for improvement were offered by reviewers. One suggestion was to "help new comers find open sites on the map and explain different sections of the campground." This would enhance the initial check-in process for first-time visitors, making it easier for them to navigate the large property and choose a suitable campsite.
Another suggestion was to "upgrade picnic tables on sites that are real bad," indicating that the condition of picnic tables may vary across the campground. If a functional picnic table is important to your camping setup, it might be worth inquiring about the site's amenities when booking or checking in.
The idea to "offer adult hot tub time maybe later in the day for ages 16 and older" was also proposed, suggesting a desire for a dedicated relaxation period for adults. While this isn't currently offered based on the reviews, it reflects the potential for additional amenities that could enhance the guest experience.
Finally, a reviewer suggested to "advise campers when checking in the day the grass cutting service will be there, so objects can be protected." This practical tip would help campers ensure their belongings are safe during grounds maintenance.
Despite these minor suggestions, the overall sentiment towards Thousand Trails Orlando is overwhelmingly positive. One reviewer stated, "We’ve been here on 3 separate occasions and every interaction I’ve had with staff has been excellent," reinforcing the theme of friendly and helpful service. Another "highly recommend this place!!"
One important piece of information to be aware of is their "very strict 12pm check in policy." According to a review, "You cannot turn down the entrance road even a few minutes before so try to time your arrival." Additionally, due to the size of the campground, it's advisable to "expect it to be busy at check in time especially on the weekends." This isn't seen as a major issue but is a practical tip for first-time visitors to plan their arrival accordingly.
The environment of Thousand Trails Orlando also includes "beautiful wildlife on the property," suggesting that nature lovers will appreciate the opportunity to observe local fauna. This adds another layer of appeal to the campground, combining recreational amenities with the beauty of the natural surroundings.
In summary, Thousand Trails Orlando near Clermont, FL, offers a large and well-equipped campground experience for those searching for "camping near me." With friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and a wide range of amenities such as a pool, gym, activity center, propane, pickleball, mini golf, and laundry, it caters to a variety of camping preferences. Its convenient location, just 20 minutes from Disney and surrounding attractions, makes it an ideal base for exploring the Orlando area. While there are a few minor suggestions for improvement regarding site information and maintenance, the overwhelmingly positive feedback and the array of features make Thousand Trails Orlando a highly recommended choice for your next camping adventure in Central Florida. Thousand Trails Orlando Reviews
Very friendly and helpful employees. Bo at the front gate went above and beyond to make us feel welcome for our first time at the campground. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Have a few suggestions: Help new comers find open sites on the map and explain different sections of the campground. Upgrade picnic tables on sites that are real bad. Offer adult hot tub time maybe later in the day for ages 16 and older. Advise campers when checking in the day the grass cutting service will be there, so objects can be protected. Beautiful wildlife on the property. So much to see and explore around this location. Would go back if in the area again.

Great location as well as you’re about 20 minutes from Disney with all the shopping, food options surrounding it.Only thing to be prepared for is they have a very strict 12pm check in policy. Not a big deal, but just something to be aware of if it’s your first time.Highly recommend this place!!
Apr 24, 2025 · Jason FMy wife and I have stayed here several times for a total of probably 3 months. We have stayed in sites in many different areas and have enjoyed each one.Our interactions with staff there has always been good and they keep the property in good shape. The area has anything and everything you could want for shopping, eating, and entertainment. TTO is probably our favorite place to stay when we are in Florida for the Winter.
Mar 10, 2025 · Mike RoweWe’ve stayed here before, and we’ll stay here again. We’re members and fulltime, so if you’re fulltime and Thousand Tail members, you’ll likely understand that it’s a “free” place to stay. Can’t beat free…unless you want to pay. It’s actually not the worst, but it’s not the best. This trip we got a pretty decent site. However, we witnessed the landscapers spraying weeds, So it’s no wonder our feet itched and burned everyone we tried to go outside barefoot. It’s no surprise that they apparently spray chemicals all over, but it sure works be heat if they didn’t. Our dog also was sick a few times. Chemicals? Seems like a pure choice for a campground with kids and pets. And it’s not even one of those pristine places where every blade of grass is cared for. So not really sure why they were spraying weeds in a cement site. Chop them with a weed eater! That’s a lot safer for the guests.Aside from that, if you’re not in their Facebook chats, you’re out of luck. They sure aren’t going to call you or send anyone around with updates when problems arise. Transformer went out Sunday night. The park was not even half full, but it was easily 95° and no updates were given unless you were on their Facebook chats or “knew a guy.” Power was back Monday late afternoon.Best thing about the park is the location. Otherwise it’s just mediocre. But, it’s a place to park your rig! So if you don’t care that it takes 3 hours to get in the gate and park, then you’ll be just fine.
Apr 30, 2025 · Renay HoweyBasic thousand trails campground . No arcade, instead has a gym for adults. It's huge!! Spot was pretty level and large. Has activities for every night. One of the men at the front gate is a bit rude at every interaction, but the rest of the staff was nice and accommodating.
