The resort's location in Hungry Horse, MT, places it within easy reach of the park's west entrance and other regional attractions. The gated entry and security codes for building entrances contribute to a sense of safety and security, which is a notable aspect mentioned by a guest. For those prioritizing access to Glacier National Park while looking for "camping near me," Timber Wolf Resort’s location is a significant advantage.
Services and Accommodation Features:
Timber Wolf Resort offers more than just traditional camping. Reviews highlight stays in a "guest house/commons building" with clean rooms described as "as described." In this building, the bathroom facilities are located down the hall, featuring two showers and toilets. It's worth noting that some noise from other visitors entering the building until the 10 pm access restriction was mentioned, which is something to consider for light sleepers. However, overall, the stay in the guest house was considered "wonderful."
The resort also provides "pioneer cabins," which offer a different kind of experience. These cabins are described as being "way easier than bringing camping supplies cross country," suggesting a more convenient and comfortable alternative to traditional tent camping. One guest stayed in a cabin without electricity and found it "totally fine," highlighting the basic yet sufficient nature of these accommodations. For these cabins, coin-operated showers with "hot" water and "great pressure" are available, and the bathrooms were reported as clean.
Beyond accommodation, the name "Timber Wolf Resort & Jeep Rentals" clearly indicates a key additional service: jeep rentals. This combination of lodging and adventure rentals makes Timber Wolf Resort a unique destination within the "camping near me" category, offering more than just a place to stay.

Timber Wolf Resort & Jeep Rentals Reviews
Had a wonderful stay at the Timber Wolf Resort! Checkin instructions were clear and easy to follow. We were assigned a room in the guest house/commons building. The room was clean and as described. In close proximity to Glacier NP and other activities. Felt safe with a gated entry and security codes for building entrances. The bathroom was located down the hall from our room with 2 showers/toilets. One other item worth mentioning was that we could hear other visitors enter the building up until 10pm (when access is restricted). Other than that we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to others!
Aug 23, 2024 · Haylee BordenWonderful place! Fantastic location. Stayed in a pioneer cabin. It was way easier than bringing camping supplies cross country. Staff was friendly. Cabin and bathrooms were clean. Coin operated showers were hot with great pressure. Location, again, was absolutely perfect.People thought it was crazy to stay in a cabin without electricity, but it was totally fine. We brought granola and jerky, spent most of the day in the park, and would drive somewhere nearby for dinner.Already talking about visiting again next year and staying here again.
Sep 01, 2024 · SaraI stayed here for 4 nights with my boyfriend and we loved it! Accommodation is inflated in the glacier area during the summer months and this was very affordable. We stayed in a lodge room which was very cozy and comfortable. It had a shared bathroom which was impeccably clean and mostly empty. The showers were piping hot and felt great, with good water pressure. We had a bad experience staying in a cabin on the east side of the park and asked to extend our stay here an extra night at the last minute. They were so accommodating and additionally the ladies at the office were so sweet! Highly recommend and hope to stay here again!
Sep 02, 2024 · SamiThis place was fantastic! We booked for 2 nights initially in 1 of the cabins and quickly added a 3rd while it was still available. The cabins are simple but not as rustic as other listings elsewhere. There were 2 double bunk beds with fresh linens, electricity which included lights, a mini fridge and a wall heater if needed. Each cabin has a firepit, and 2 adirondack chairs. A small bucket of firewood could be purchased. The owner met us with warm hospitality. The entire place includes an RV park, camping spots for tent camping and even some indoor spaces for a bed and breakfast. There are hot showers for a small charge, a free book exchange which my oldest daughter enjoyed. A fun playground on site with a pirate ship climbing thing, and a fun game on the premises for kids to hunt for Big Foot.We were only 10 minutes from west glacier park and managed to get up and get into the park before it opened at 6. The only down side was our cabin was on the lower end of the resort and thus we had more road noise, probably the upper cabins were more shielded. All in all, this was such a small setback it would not stop us from coming back or recommending this to anyone else we know traveling to northwest Montana.Top points for quaintness, hospitality and location and price!
Jul 12, 2024 · Autumn BradleyTimber Wolf Resort a great place to stay. We tented and the site was clean and well kept. The facility was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The promised hot showers was exactly that, hot and so nice after a day of hiking. The owners and employees were extremely kind and made sure to have a fun activity for our kids. We will be back :)
