Trout Brook Farm Campground Reviews
Came up to hike in the summer and had a great time. Very well kept area, clean and a natural beauty. The twin ponds hike is not too difficult and has many rewarding views.

Aug 16, 2022 · Rick BoudreauGreat place to stay! Secluded and beautiful, with easy access to South Branch Pond. However, MAJOR WARNING not to stay in the walk in sites when it has rained recently. They turn into a swamp, with the worst bugs I have ever seen, and our tent stayed wet for four days straight. Yet, we transferred to one of the large group sites, and our experience was much more pleasurable.
Apr 25, 2021 · John del puertoBeautiful site with rolling hills covered in wildflowers with canoe rental and access point. If you stay, you can rent one of about 10 canoes for $1/ hr or $8/ day. Access point is muddy and filled with Mosquitoes-- bring a net and spray!Walk-up campsites are .1, .2, or .3 miles from the parking lot. They are off of the "Freeze out Trail", and you have to cross a rickety old bridge to get there. (More magical than scary. Amazing views of the stars at night). Be warned though-- these sites have a LOT of ANGRY MOSQUITOES that will SWARM YOU. A net and spay are 100% necessary if you are susceptible to mosquito bites. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you carry stuff to your site.Group sites lack privacy but have great views. There are a few outhouses sprinkled throughout the site but no running water/ showers/ hand sanitizer. Completely off-grid.The whole park has a carry-in, carry-out policy, meaning there are no receptacles for trash in the entire park. You may NOT bring in outside wood, but the ranger there sells bundles for $3 each.If you are yearning for human contact after being in the wilderness for so long, there is a cute family-run camp shop/ restaurant/ ice cream shop up the road just before entering the park. They also sell gas and have their own camp sites as well.
Sep 03, 2019 · Shannon DavisBEWARE THE BUGS! This might have been a time of year thing, but they were unbearable, and my wife is an entomologist. Stay at South Branch Pond instead. It's a beautiful setting on the pond and the bugs were way better. Quiet and pretty campground, but ruined by swarms of mosquitoes and flies.
