Turtle Run Campground & RV Introduce
For local residents seeking a camping or RV experience in the Egg Harbor City, NJ area, Turtle Run Campground & RV, located at 3 Cedar Ln, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215, USA, presents itself as a potential option. Listed under the 'camping near me' category, this campground aims to serve the local community with a range of accommodation choices, including tent sites, RV spots, and cabin rentals. Based on recent customer feedback available online, it's important for prospective visitors to have a balanced understanding of what this campground offers.
The environment of Turtle Run Campground & RV is described as a "cool little camping spot" that is "kinda deep in the woods." This suggests a setting that offers a degree of natural immersion and potentially a more secluded feel compared to campgrounds in more open areas. One reviewer noted the presence of significant insect activity, including green heads and large biting flies, particularly due to the wooded location. This is a crucial environmental factor for potential campers to consider, especially during warmer months, and highlights the need for effective insect repellent and protective clothing. While one visitor found the stay enjoyable overall, the prevalence of bugs seems to be a notable aspect of the environment at Turtle Run Campground & RV.
The services at Turtle Run Campground & RV appear to be somewhat limited and have received mixed reviews. One positive aspect mentioned is the availability of food service on the weekends, which was appreciated by a guest who wished it were offered throughout the week. However, a significant concern raised by multiple reviewers pertains to the bathroom facilities. These were described as small, lacking ventilation, and frequently not fully operational, leading to situations where the entire campground relied on only one or two working toilets. This appears to be a major point of dissatisfaction and a potential inconvenience for guests. While the campground offers tent sites, RV hookups (implied by the name), and cabin rentals, the cleanliness of these accommodations has also been questioned, with mentions of mold, mildew, dirty floors, and unclean beds in the cabins and RVs. Additionally, one reviewer reported a lack of service in certain areas of the campground. It's important for potential visitors to inquire specifically about the availability and condition of all facilities before booking.
The features of Turtle Run Campground & RV include a variety of accommodation types: tent sites for traditional camping, RV sites with hookups for recreational vehicles, and cabins for those seeking a more sheltered option. The weekend food service is a notable feature that some guests found appealing. However, the negative feedback regarding the bathroom facilities and the cleanliness of the accommodations are significant drawbacks. The wooded location, while offering a natural setting, also contributes to a heavy insect presence, which can be a major disincentive for some campers. The friendly and helpful nature of the staff was acknowledged by one reviewer, but this positive aspect was overshadowed by concerns about the overall value and condition of the campground. The lack of Wi-Fi was also mentioned as an inconvenience by a guest. Potential features that might be present but not explicitly detailed in the reviews could include fire pits at campsites, picnic tables, or communal areas, but it's advisable to confirm these with the campground directly.

In conclusion, Turtle Run Campground & RV in Egg Harbor City, NJ, offers a local camping option with tent sites, RV spots, and cabin rentals, situated in a wooded environment. While the friendly staff is a noted positive, potential visitors should be aware of significant concerns raised in customer reviews regarding the cleanliness of the accommodations, the inadequate and poorly maintained bathroom facilities, and a heavy insect population. The weekend food service is a potential amenity, but overall, the feedback suggests that the campground may not live up to expectations in terms of comfort and value for money. Turtle Run Campground & RV Reviews
Cool little camping spot. Stayed a week and it was great except a few little things. They served food on the weekends, wish that was an all week thing though lol. Good place good people, my only complaint would be the bathrooms!!! They were not up to par with the rest of the campground. They were small no ventilation and they were not working half the time. The whole campground was basically using 1 or 2 toilets and they just couldn't keep up ...
Aug 02, 2024 · Chili Crawford"friendly staff".."awesome crew" ... yes they are very friendly and great people! HOWEVER.... do not waste your money here.... unfortunately this place is not as great as it's hyped up to be..... I've spent quite a few nights here... all different... tent, a cabin, and an RV... IT IS NOT worth spending the money to stay here... you could stay at a nice hotel instead of here... these people rip you off and over charge in EVERYTHING... This camp ground is ran by men.. so we can all figure out what this means... the campers and sites are dirty... I stayed in a cabin and RV.. they all smelled like mold and mildew.... floors were disgusting... beds were dirty... bathrooms dirty... no service anywhere. Don't get me started on the tent sites... This property is infested with green heads and huge flies that bite and torture you every second you're outside.... They are kinda deep in the woods so the bugs are TERRIBLE ... me and my son were getting stunk all night....The place to eat is only open on the weekends and closed the rest of the week...Their outdoor bathrooms DON"T have warm water, it's freezing... floors are disgusting in there as well... They really should be ashamed over charging the way they do... you could stay in a nice hotel and have a clean place for all you pay there.... This is not to "bash" the place or any of the workers... but personally it just was not worth the "hype".. me and my son were miserable and hated it... couldn't sit outside and he couldn't use any of his devices because of there being no wifi..... please save your money and go somewhere that's nice and where you're at peace of mind!!! somebody send sos
Apr 29, 2024 · Tiffany BrownWe stayed in one of the cabins for a quick night away with the kids. The employees were super friendly. Get the impression that the seasonal campers have a lot of activities together, but everyone is invited. The facilities were nice. Bathrooms were clean and well lit. Grounds were nice. Arcade was great as well. We drove around the campground to catch a glimpse of the tent sites, and they were nice. Spacious, and didn't seem to be too crowded together. We will definitely be back.
Sep 26, 2019 · Tom Stewart IIIThe staff is so friendly & accommodating. Family friendly with great pool & playground. Bathrooms clean. They have great pizza and fun activities. We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and they had 50/50 drawings & turtle races (using dice) and a horseshoe tournament. We had our motorcycle with us & rode each day in surrounding areas. Everyone is very friendly
May 28, 2019 · K FussOur 1st time here was through Groupon renting a trailer & we've gone back several times each summer!! We love this campground!! Overall, it's a smaller campground- but, the spots we've rented have been more than adequate providing us with enough space to set up our tents & equipment with room leftover. The events are fun, people are great, nice pool, plenty of activities to stay busy & turtle run grill with good food!! (& ice cream!). I Highly, highly recommend this place to everyone!
