Peaceful. Natural nature. Fun. Somewhat isolated. No stores on site. No bathrooms. Just you and nature. No price to pay for a little fun. This area is more for tent camping. High security, rangers and county police, make rounds often! It's a TVA Park just off Riverton Road in Alabama and right across the water is Mississippi and Tennessee. You're looking at the lakes from the Tennessee River (and Bear Creek). On your campsite there are places that you can launch a fishing boat, ski boat, pontoon boat, wave runners, kayaks, canoes, or whatever you want within those sizes but nothing is provided to you- so bring your own and at your own risk. Boat ramps aren't provided but not really needed because the Beach has several places where launching can be done, just look for them and you'll see. It's a great lake for water skiing, tubing, relaxing, fishing, and almost all the things you love to have fun with on the river and lakes. Did I say the beach is the best for swimming, cookouts, and lounging around?!?! It is! Even fishing is great! The swimming beach is small pebbles and 'sea' shells lining the shore but mostly sand in the water. Floating around on the waves from the boats is fun but the boats usually go out more towards the river and leave the area for playing and relaxing. There are not any barges or big boats in this area. With a fishing, pontoon, or ski boat you have access to Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi due to state lines being combined at the river and lakes. I absolutely love this TVA campground however there's nothing more than clean areas to throw a tent, pull a small self-sufficient camper in, great for swimming, and great fishing. We pulled a camper in but we use a generator/battery for only a little bit because this place is all about nature and natural camping we used gas cooking for breakfast then everything else we do over charcoal grill, or either a small fire pit where we roast hotdogs and marshmallows, and other things as well as keep warm when needed and dry out after playing in the water. It's you and nature all the way -with security coming through from time to time to keep peace- everything under control and within the law. There are no fees but you can donate on their website I think. There are trash cans/trash bins located in a few places near the entrance/exit, so please clean up after yourself and leave it nice for the next person coming in. Great place to camp with kids or just an adult getaway. There are no lifeguards here so watch children closely. If you're looking for camper or RV camping, go on down the road to Riverton Rose Trail or stop at the small camp site behind the store before you come down this far on Riverton Road. - Tammy

"There are trash cans/trash bins located in a few places near the entrance/exit," emphasizing the importance of leaving the area clean for others. The absence of lifeguards necessitates close supervision of children, particularly near the water.
