Peters 4th Lake Cottages, located at 100 NY-28, Inlet, NY 13360, USA, offers cabin rentals with direct access to Fourth Lake. You can reach them at (315) 357-3862 or their mobile number, +1 315-357-3862, to inquire about availability and bookings.
Peters 4th Lake Cottages aims to provide a lakeside retreat for those seeking the natural beauty of the Adirondack region. Situated on the shores of Fourth Lake, the property boasts a sandy beach, offering opportunities for relaxation and enjoying the waterfront. According to one recent visitor, Tracy, the location features "beautiful sunsets on a beautiful sandy beach" and "comfy cabins," leading to a "memorable vacation." This guest also commended Tracy for exceptional accommodation service and expressed intent to return.
However, it's important to consider all feedback when planning your stay. Another recent guest shared a less positive experience, highlighting concerns about ongoing construction causing noise disturbance during their visit. This guest also mentioned a lack of proactive communication from the hosts regarding the construction and its potential impact on their stay. They described the beach as not well-maintained, with issues like bugs in the seaweed. Furthermore, this guest found the interior space of the newer, more expensive cabins to be cramped for three people, lacking a comfortable living area and a suitable table for games or puzzles. A kitchen-related concern was also raised regarding a tea kettle handle that gets very hot without a potholder.
This guest's review also pointed out a perceived emphasis on catering to snowmobilers, noting winter and Christmas-themed decor even during the warmer months. They felt the decor did not align with a summer lakeside experience. The review also mentioned an instance where another departing guest seemed dissatisfied, and the hosts did not inquire about the reasons for their early departure or offer any form of compensation.
Based on the available reviews, it appears that Peters 4th Lake Cottages offers a location with potential for a pleasant lakeside experience, as highlighted by the positive feedback regarding the beach and cabin comfort. However, prospective guests should be aware of the concerns raised in other reviews, particularly regarding potential construction noise, beach maintenance, and cabin space. It may be prudent to inquire directly with Peters 4th Lake Cottages about the current status of any construction and to clarify details about the cabin amenities and beach conditions before making a booking.
When considering "camping near me" options, Peters 4th Lake Cottages provides a lakefront setting in Inlet, NY. The allure of a sandy beach and the comfort of cabins can be appealing for families and individuals looking to enjoy the Adirondacks. However, the contrasting reviews suggest that the experience can vary. For local users exploring "camping near me" or "cabin rentals near me," it is recommended to weigh the positive aspects, such as the lake access and comfortable cabins reported by one guest, against the negative feedback concerning construction, maintenance, and cabin size from another. Direct communication with the owners about the current conditions and amenities is advisable to ensure the accommodation meets your expectations for an enjoyable Adirondack getaway.
The location at 100 NY-28, Inlet, NY 13360, places Peters 4th Lake Cottages within reach of the natural beauty of the Adirondacks and the recreational opportunities offered by Fourth Lake. Whether you are interested in a summer retreat with beach access or looking for potential snowmobiling lodging during the winter months, this location offers proximity to these activities. However, the feedback regarding the decor suggests a possible winter-centric theme that might not fully resonate during the summer season.
For local users searching within the "camping near me" category, Peters 4th Lake Cottages presents a lakeside option with varying reviews. The positive mention of a beautiful sandy beach and comfortable cabins indicates potential for a relaxing stay. Conversely, the concerns about construction noise and maintenance suggest that the experience might not be consistently positive for all guests. It is crucial for potential visitors to gather the most up-to-date information by contacting Peters 4th Lake Cottages directly at (315) 357-3862 or +1 315-357-3862 to make an informed decision based on their individual needs and preferences for their Adirondack camping or cabin rental experience.
In conclusion, Peters 4th Lake Cottages offers a lakeside location in Inlet, NY, with cabin accommodations and beach access. While one guest reported a positive and memorable experience, another detailed several significant issues, including construction noise, beach maintenance, and cabin limitations. Local users considering this option through a "camping near me" search should carefully review all available feedback and directly inquire about current conditions to ensure it aligns with their expectations for an Adirondack vacation.

Peters 4th Lake Cottages Reviews
I've been going up to the Adirondacks my whole life - year round - and haven't ever run into anything like this place. I can say that this is one of the worst ADK experiences, is the the worst, that I've ever had.Businesses who host should not open unless construction is done and people can enjoy the ADKs without so much (very loud) annoyance. *Or* at least warn potential guests/give discounts that this will be the circumstance, and let them decide. I absolutely would not have booked. It's no wonder that 4 of 7 newer cabins were empty most of the week.It was my husband's first time up there (and not feeling great about returning in general to the ADKs - first impressions and all), our child has sensory issues (they stayed inside most of the week), my peace (it was stressful. Not a vacation). Our child is used to a different place from a while back, which was already full when I called in February. After that, I wrote to many different housekeeping cottages.Alissa (one of the owners) was a great salesperson - "the nicest stretch of beach on fourth lake". Well, perhaps the longest, definitely not the nicest. It was not maintained. There were bugs coming out of the dry seaweed. I couldn't lay on the beach without being crawled on.I did rake one day (with a bad spine, and it wasn't my job) just to try to enjoy the beach. I wouldn't have chosen Peter's if I knew they'd be too busy to do basic maintenance. They just have no business being hosts. Not once did they walk by. Not even to check in at the beginning to make sure things were going well/see if we needed assistance with anything or had questions. The first time the husband (never introduced by name) talked to us was when we were leaving "are you leaving?" "Yes" "Well at least we had nice weather".A different guest left early. She was very happy when she got there, and just done after a while. Packed up, and gave us any leftover fruit she had. My husband was standing at the place where she told Alissa "I'm leaving". Alissa apparently looked surprised, but didn't even ask why, if they could have done something better, or even offer a partial refund since the woman was obviously upset. Maybe she was upset with something else. Seemed odd though.Additionally, these new and very expensive cabins, had absolutely no room for three people to be in the "living area" comfortably. Again, I have pictures.I don't mind the rain. That's what it does off and on in the ADKs. If it's beautiful out or rainy, sometimes I'd like to *be able to* lounge around with my family. For three people to sit inside to read a book, be on the phone, or just hang together... There is no way here. There were games and puzzles with no table to play/put them on. Wanting to do a puzzle during rain, we used most of the kitchen counter space for a puzzle left hardly any room for prepping food. Also kitchen- side note - The tea kettle handle gets very hot. We found out the hard way. Potholder needed. Warn tweens and teens. They 100% cater to snowmobilers - decor winter and Christmas ("Santa's Mail"). Very depressing. I took everything with snow and Christmas down. It would have been nice to see some sun and water decor. Something that speaks to summer. They were probably too busy with their construction projects to make quick (October & May?) swaps of decor.I have photos of everything described in this review.
Sep 03, 2024 · Amy OlsonSuch a memorable vacation with my family. Tracy was exceptional with making sure we were accommodated. Beautiful sunsets on a beautiful sandy beach. Comfy cabins. Will definitely be back! 👏👍😊
Feb 21, 2024 · debora floydStayed here for 3 days. Tracey was an excellent hostess. The cottages are beautiful and well maintained. We had both our dogs with us, one large and 1 small. There was more than enough room for them! The bed was very comfortable. The cottage offered a bath and a 1/2. Outside as you walked out, you saw the beach, the water and the mountains. The kitchen had a large refrigerator and stove. Didn't do any cooking, but could have easily.I'm giving this 5 stars. Tracey made our dogs and us very comfortable and since we are dog lovers this was a big plus for us. Will come again!
Sep 19, 2022 · Laurie WeaverWe had an absolutely amazing stay at 4th Lake. The cottage was so cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. The views of the lake are incredible! We absolutely enjoyed our cool Fall nights by the fire pit and loved just taking it all in!The cottages are a short walk into town, and our morning walks into Inlet, became one of our favorite things! We loved grabbing a coffee and donuts and hanging at the Park with our boys! And we certainly can't forget our amazing hostess! Tracy is the sweetest soul. She was always out an about on the property, checking to see if we needed anything or just stopping to chat. We felt so at home here! We will definitely be coming back to Peter's 4th Lake Cottages again!
