Voorhees State Park Reviews
I enjoy camping here. The bathrooms/showers are clean, each site has a picnic table/ fire ring, and there is a communal playground for the kiddos. BUT, please, wherever you go camping, use good camp etiquette and keep your music and general noise volume on the low side out of respect for your camping brethren.
Aug 27, 2024 · E NBeautiful , quiet State Park with fun trails. We love the trail along the stream . Wear appropriate footwear. The easiest trail is to campground . Campground was clean and comfortable . Park itself is very clean and people do not litter one of the top reasons I love this park . They have areas for tents as well as log huts for rent. There are 2 playgrounds with shelters in the park. Park is wonderful for kids as there are all kinds of animals and birds. Just keep in mind that the main road is little bumpy.
Dec 09, 2023 · dilkachor29Very mixed feelings about this campsite. First of all, amazing, new, clean and well maintained bathrooms, which is amazing! Other perks: there's an observatory that does star gazing on Saturday nights. And you get access to Spruce Run and Round Valley for swimming/boating, etc. BUT, the majority of the site here (Voorhees) are extremely rocky with no good place for a tent (and many opportunities for twisting an ankle). I spent half an hour clearing my site, and still I felt multiple rocks under my tent. Every time I had to walk between my car and my picnic table, fire, or tent, I had to pick my way across to avoid tripping and falling. Not a relaxing weekend. Sites 1-4 are grass - grab one of those if you can. The rest are pretty much uninhabitable (which explains why there's always so much availability here.
