My mother loves to camp ,she has done it most of her life ,so with that being said she has been to quite a few campgrounds in her life and she is 73 ,but this place is the first place I've seen her the happiest ,and I'm not kidding when I say she literally camped until the day it closed for the season !! She's met some really amazing people that with no questions asked jumped right in to help her with things and when she brought up the question of how much do I owe you for helping they replied we are family that's what we do out here we all help each other out that alone goes a long way to me because I can't be there to help her with things ,so to everyone thats helped i wanna say thank you !!!! They have lots of stuff to do for people of all ages to enjoy ,lots of different eventful weekends and lots of holiday celebrations too, there's so much fun stuff to enjoy they all pitch in with teamwork to make it the best experience for everyone to enjoy !! My mom has made alot of new friends and is counting down the days until camp reopens ,but blessed to remain in contact with them through the off season to help keep them winter blues away !! I'm very happy she's found her home away from home and it warms my heart as her daughter knowing this is another happy place for her !! Nov 14, 2024 · Melinda PyleDisgusting Lake: First off, the lake is a complete disgrace. It’s filthy, full of debris, and smells awful. What’s supposed to be a relaxing spot for swimming or fishing turned out to be an eyesore that we couldn’t even stand to be near. The water is cloudy and filled with who-knows-what.Litter Everywhere: Trash is literally everywhere you look. It’s like the campground has turned into a landfill. From beer cans to food wrappers, it seems like no one cares to clean up after previous guests. The lack of basic maintenance is shocking.Rude and Incompetent Management: The management here is beyond unprofessional. It’s clear that they don’t care at all about their guests or maintaining the campground. They’re just cashing in on the location and doing the bare minimum to keep it running.Do Yourself a Favor – Go Somewhere Else: This place is an absolute joke. It’s dirty, it’s poorly managed, and it’s not worth a single penny. We ended up cutting our trip short because we just couldn’t stand it anymore. If you’re considering staying here, don’t. There are so many better options out there that actually value their guests and take care of their facilities. This campground is a complete waste of time and money.
Aug 19, 2024 · David WengerWe enjoyed this campground. There are many seasonal guests and they are the friendliest people you could hope to meet. It was a little rough getting into our spot with our 45-foot motorhome, but two of the parks regulars helped guide my husband in. I enjoyed the trail inside the park. The lake and pool were being enjoyed by many, and the playground was great for kids. I came across the campground quite by accident. It isn't listed on RV Trip Wizard or RV Parky. I hope to remedy that, at least at RV Trip Wizard where I have a paid membership.
Jul 21, 2024 · Charisse TysonWe just recently spent 3 days here. It was a nice campground, good people, and plenty of activities for our 9 and 2 year old to do. They both loved the swimming lake. They are currently renovating the bath house, and the building that once had the arcade. So if you are going soon (Summer of 24) expect those to be out of service. That didn't bother us but it could be a problem for some people.
