Acorn Terrace Introduce
For local individuals and families exploring "rv parks near me" or considering long-term residential options in the Rochester, New Hampshire area, Acorn Terrace mobile home park presents a community located at Joshua St, Rochester, NH 03867, USA. Interested parties can contact the park at (603) 312-2283 or +1 603-312-2283 for further inquiries. Understanding the environment, services, and features of a residential park is crucial for making informed decisions, and the available information, including customer reviews, offers insights into the living experience at Acorn Terrace.
Based on the limited information, Acorn Terrace identifies itself as "one of the older parks in Rochester NH," suggesting a long-established presence within the local community. One resident of 15 years highlights this history and points to ongoing efforts to resolve "some water issues" within the park, indicating that infrastructure improvements are underway. This long-term resident also emphasizes the presence of "three women in the Board of trustees," inviting prospective residents to consider the park and "come check us out" if seeking a "nice park." This perspective suggests a sense of community and active resident involvement in the park's management.
However, it is essential to consider all available feedback to gain a balanced understanding. Another review presents a significantly contrasting viewpoint, alleging serious issues within the park. This review claims discriminatory practices against women and the elderly and describes the manager as "abusive against women." Furthermore, it raises alarming allegations regarding the park president, citing past "sexual harassment allegations" that reportedly went to court. These are serious accusations that potential residents should be aware of and may wish to investigate further through independent channels.
In addition to these interpersonal concerns, the critical review also details significant infrastructure problems, specifically concerning the water quality. The reviewer states that the water, when available, is "brown" and allegedly tested positive for lead. Such claims regarding water contamination are serious health and safety concerns that would necessitate thorough investigation and resolution by the park management and relevant local authorities. Prospective residents should inquire directly about the current status of the water quality and any official reports or certifications related to its safety.
The same critical review further paints a concerning picture of the overall living environment, alleging issues with neighbors involved in "drug dealing" and a pervasive pest problem, specifically mentioning "100s of mice running around my trailer." The reviewer also expresses a sense of fear among "the good people who live here" due to the alleged threat of frequent evictions, claiming to receive "about 3 a year on average." These allegations suggest a potentially unstable and unpleasant living situation for some residents.
Given the starkly contrasting views presented in the limited available reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive objective introduction to the environment, services, and features of Acorn Terrace. The positive feedback from a long-term resident suggests a community with a history and ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, coupled with resident involvement in governance. Conversely, the negative review raises serious concerns about management practices, safety, water quality, and the overall living environment.
In the context of local users searching for "rv parks near me," Acorn Terrace, while technically a mobile home park, might appear in such searches due to the overlap in infrastructure and long-term residency options that some RV parks also offer. However, it is crucial for those considering Acorn Terrace to understand that it primarily caters to mobile homes and long-term residents rather than short-term RV stays. The services and features are therefore likely geared towards permanent or semi-permanent living, potentially including individual utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer), lot rentals, and communal areas, although specific details would need to be confirmed with the park management.
Features of Acorn Terrace, based on the positive review, might include a sense of established community and resident participation through the Board of trustees. The ongoing efforts to address water issues could be seen as a positive step towards improving the living conditions. However, the negative review suggests potential disfeatures such as alleged mismanagement, discriminatory practices, safety concerns related to neighbors, and significant infrastructure problems like poor water quality and pest infestations. The discrepancy between these accounts underscores the importance of thorough due diligence for any prospective resident.
Promotional information for Acorn Terrace, if available through official channels, would likely focus on its established presence in Rochester, NH, the sense of community, and any ongoing improvements or positive aspects of the park. The mention of female representation on the Board of trustees could be a point of promotion for inclusivity. However, in light of the serious allegations raised in the negative review, any promotional material should be viewed with caution and cross-referenced with independent investigations and current resident feedback.
In conclusion, Acorn Terrace mobile home park in Rochester, NH, presents a complex picture based on the limited available information. While a long-term resident describes a community with ongoing improvements and resident involvement, another review alleges severe issues related to management, discrimination, safety, and infrastructure. For local users searching for "rv parks near me" and potentially considering Acorn Terrace for long-term residency, it is strongly recommended to conduct thorough personal due diligence. This should include contacting the park management directly, visiting the premises, speaking with current residents (if possible), and checking for any official reports or records related to the allegations raised. A balanced perspective requires considering all available information, and in this case, the contrasting reviews highlight the need for careful investigation before making any decisions regarding Acorn Terrace.

Acorn Terrace Reviews
I have lived in this park for 15 years we are one of the older parks in Rochester NH yes we have some water issues but we are having them resolved and we have three women in the Board of trustees so if u are looking for a nice park please come check us out
Jun 27, 2019 · Cindy HudsonThey discriminate against women and the elderly. The manager is abusive against women and the president has been to court for sexual harassment allegations. The water if your lucky to have it is brown, and Ive tested it myself and it came up positive for lead. I can't tell who's more a pest... My peeping tom drug dealing nabors, the park managers or the 100s of mice running around my trailer? The good people who live here few as they may be live in fear of eviction. I've receive about 3 a year on average. I would recommend this place be condemned! so if you're looking for a nice quiet place to raise your children or enjoy your golden years I'd keep looking;)
Mar 06, 2019 · Caveman EthicsHigh lot rent. $410. Rumors are it goes up next year. Horrible management. Same people running the place for years. I'd leave if I could afford to.
