Mountain View Mobile Home Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" or exploring long-term residential options in the Northwood, New Hampshire area? Mountain View Mobile Home Park, located at 1 Pheasant Ln, Northwood, NH 03261, USA, presents a mobile home living environment that requires careful consideration due to recent feedback from residents. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park based on the available customer reviews, highlighting both positive past sentiments and significant current concerns to help local users make informed decisions.
Northwood, New Hampshire, is a town in Rockingham County known for its rural character and proximity to lakes and outdoor recreational areas. Situated in a more inland part of the state, it offers a quieter lifestyle compared to coastal regions. Mobile home parks in towns like Northwood can provide a more affordable housing option, attracting individuals and families seeking a long-term, community-oriented living arrangement. Mountain View Mobile Home Park, with its name suggesting a potentially scenic environment, might have once been an appealing option in this context.
The customer reviews for Mountain View Mobile Home Park present a stark contrast, indicating a significant shift in the quality of living and management over time. One review, without a specific date, describes the park as the "Best park in NH," praising its cleanliness and maintenance, and highlighting the "beautiful area." This positive feedback suggests that at some point, Mountain View Mobile Home Park was a well-regarded and desirable community to reside in, aligning with its name and potential for a pleasant living environment.
However, more recent reviews paint a concerning picture of the current state of Mountain View Mobile Home Park under new ownership. Multiple reviews express strong dissatisfaction and advise potential residents to "Avoid at all costs" and "Go somewhere else!" A primary concern raised is a substantial increase in rates. One reviewer states that rates for existing tenants have increased by over 50% in the last year, while for new tenants, the increase is reported to be over 100% in the past three years. Such significant rate hikes can create a substantial financial burden for residents, particularly those on fixed incomes or with limited budgets, and can destabilize the community.
Another critical issue highlighted in the recent reviews is the alleged consistent failure of the ownership to perform necessary maintenance and upkeep of the park. Specific examples provided include falling trees and collapsing fences that are reportedly ignored by the ownership. The departure of a handyman named Shawn, who was apparently well-regarded by residents, is also mentioned, with rumors suggesting he was not paid for an extended period. This lack of maintenance can lead to a deteriorating environment, safety concerns, and a diminished quality of life for residents.
Furthermore, the reviews indicate a lack of responsiveness and care from the owners regarding tenants' basic needs. One reviewer recounts an incident involving two large snowstorms where plowing was not done until 3 pm, making it impossible for residents to get to work. This suggests a disregard for the practical needs and well-being of the residents, particularly during adverse weather conditions. The overall sentiment from the negative reviews points to unresponsive management that is unwilling to address maintenance issues or the concerns of the tenants.
Given these serious allegations of significant rate increases, neglected maintenance, and unresponsive management, potential residents should approach Mountain View Mobile Home Park with extreme caution. While the park may have had a positive reputation in the past, the recent feedback indicates a potentially unstable and unsatisfactory living environment under the current ownership.
Information regarding specific services and features currently offered at Mountain View Mobile Home Park is limited beyond the issues raised in the reviews. Typically, mobile home parks provide essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups for each lot. Residents are usually responsible for their individual utility consumption. The past positive review mentioned cleanliness and maintenance, suggesting that these services were once adequately provided. However, the recent negative feedback strongly implies a significant decline in these areas. It is unclear whether amenities such as garbage disposal, snow removal (as evidenced by the plowing issue), or maintenance of common areas are currently being handled effectively.
The environment of Mountain View Mobile Home Park, while once described as a "beautiful area," is now being negatively impacted by the alleged lack of maintenance, with concerns about falling trees and general upkeep. The failure to address these issues can detract from the aesthetic appeal and safety of the community. Potential residents should consider the implications of living in a park where maintenance is reportedly neglected.
Promotional information for Mountain View Mobile Home Park is not available in the provided data. Given the current negative feedback regarding rate increases and lack of maintenance, it is unlikely that the park is actively promoting new tenancies with special offers. Instead, the focus appears to be on the existing residents' dissatisfaction.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering Mountain View Mobile Home Park for long-term living, it is strongly recommended to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence. Contacting the park management using the provided phone numbers, (603) 518-6700 or +1 603-518-6700, to inquire about the current rates, maintenance policies, and management responsiveness is crucial. Visiting the park in person to assess the current conditions and, if possible, speaking with current residents (despite the negative reviews potentially making this difficult) would provide valuable firsthand information. The significant discrepancies in the reviews highlight the importance of obtaining the most up-to-date and accurate information before making any decisions about residing at Mountain View Mobile Home Park.
In conclusion, Mountain View Mobile Home Park in Northwood, NH, presents a concerning situation based on recent customer reviews citing substantial rate increases, neglected maintenance, and unresponsive management. While the park may have been well-regarded in the past, potential residents should be aware of these serious issues and conduct thorough research before considering this as a long-term living option.

Mountain View Mobile Home Park Reviews
Avoid at all costs. New ownership has come in and significantly increased rates over 50% in the last year for existing tenants. For new tenants it has increased over 100% in the past 3 years. They consistently fail to perform any maintenance or upkeep of the park. Trees fall, fences collapse and ownership refuses to do anything. The handyman (Shawn) that they had working in the park was great, but it’s rumored they failed to pay him for over 5 months which resulted in him quitting. We have had two large snow storms here and plows weren’t sent out until 3pm making it impossible to get to work.Owners are unresponsive and and refuse to take care of tenants basic needs.Go somewhere else!
