Adkins Store & Stay RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Onalaska, Texas area, Adkins Store & Stay RV Park, located at 2678 Farm To Market Rd 3459, Onalaska, TX 77360, USA, presents itself as a simple option catering to basic RV needs. You can reach them at (936) 646-2804 or +1 936-646-2804 for inquiries regarding availability and services.
Based on the limited information available online, particularly the customer reviews, it's important for potential visitors to approach Adkins Store & Stay RV Park with caution and conduct thorough due diligence before making a reservation. One review expresses a significant concern regarding the presence of bed bugs during a stay, alleging a lack of prior disclosure and dissatisfaction with the management's response to the issue. The reviewer claims to have paid a substantial amount for a relatively short stay and incurred additional costs for treating their belongings. This feedback raises serious questions about the park's pest control measures and customer service practices in such situations.
In contrast, another review describes Adkins Store & Stay RV Park as a "simple RV site" that provides "basic needs" with "nothing more nothing less." This suggests that the park may offer essential amenities required for an RV stay, such as utility hookups (electricity, water, and sewer), and possibly basic parking and access. However, it also implies that visitors should not expect extensive facilities or additional comforts beyond the fundamental requirements for RV living.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, potential users should be aware that experiences at Adkins Store & Stay RV Park may vary. The stark difference in the reviews, particularly the serious allegation of a bed bug infestation and the subsequent customer service experience, warrants careful consideration. While the park may offer a basic and functional site for RVers looking for a no-frills stopover, the negative review highlights a potentially significant issue that could impact the comfort and well-being of guests.
When evaluating Adkins Store & Stay RV Park as one of the "RV parks near me," it is crucial to weigh the information available. The mention of "basic needs" suggests that the park might be suitable for travelers primarily seeking essential hookups and a place to park their RV. However, the serious accusation in the other review cannot be ignored. Bed bug infestations are a significant concern in the hospitality industry, as they can lead to considerable discomfort, health issues (such as bites and allergic reactions), and financial burdens related to treatment and potential spread.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" and considering Adkins Store & Stay RV Park, it is strongly recommended to take the following steps:
- **Contact the park directly:** Inquire about their pest control policies and procedures. Ask specifically if they have had any recent issues with bed bugs and what measures they take to prevent and address them.
- **Request detailed information about amenities:** Clarify what "basic needs" include. Inquire about the availability and condition of essential services such as water, electricity, sewer hookups, and waste disposal. Ask about any other facilities they might offer, such as restrooms, showers, or laundry, even if the review suggests they are minimal.
- **Seek recent and multiple reviews:** Look for more recent reviews on various platforms to get a broader understanding of current conditions and customer experiences. Be aware that online reviews can be subjective, but a pattern of similar issues can be indicative.
- **Consider alternative RV parks in the Onalaska area:** Explore other options to compare amenities, prices, and, most importantly, the reputation and recent feedback from other travelers.
Given the serious nature of the bed bug allegation and the contrasting description of the park as merely providing "basic needs," it would be prudent for potential visitors to prioritize parks with consistently positive reviews, particularly regarding cleanliness, pest control, and customer service. While Adkins Store & Stay RV Park might offer a budget-friendly option for some, the potential risks highlighted in the negative review should not be taken lightly.
As there is no promotional information available, and one review raises a significant health and safety concern, it is difficult to recommend Adkins Store & Stay RV Park without reservation. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should proceed with caution, conduct thorough research, and prioritize their comfort and well-being when making a decision. It might be beneficial to explore other RV parks in the Onalaska, TX, vicinity that have a more consistently positive track record for cleanliness, amenities, and customer service.
In conclusion, Adkins Store & Stay RV Park in Onalaska, TX, appears to be a basic RV site that may offer essential hookups. However, a concerning review alleging a bed bug infestation and poor customer service response should give potential visitors pause. While another review describes it as simply meeting basic needs, the serious nature of the negative feedback warrants thorough investigation and comparison with other "RV parks near me" before making a booking. Prioritize direct communication with the park management and seek out multiple recent reviews to make an informed decision.

Adkins Store & Stay RV Park Reviews
They have bed bugs and don't tell you then try to call you a liar when you call them out! I paid $1600 to stay a week and a half with bed bugs! When trying to tell them about the bugs I got called a liar when my son has bed bugs bites on top of having to treat all of our belongings with money we don't have because we paid them $1600! I wouldn't have gave any stars but I have to do at least one to post this so other people don't get trapped and out of money! A whole $500 out of $1600 that we paid and if you exterminated your units there wouldn't be bed bugs in them!
Mar 04, 2025 · Faith RoseIt's a simple RV site. Had your basic needs. Nothing more nothing less.
Feb 21, 2025 · Tiffany Ann PolvadoThe new owners Russell and his wife Stephanie are a really great couple, very nice people to deal with, and they’re making new improvements to the park every time I see them! I live here full time and definitely recommend Adkins Store And Stay to any age person looking for a great getaway or a place to call home, the Wi-Fi is fantastic the facilities are clean, and the people that live here are amazing!
Sep 12, 2023 · Kevin GarciaI lived here for a couple months and the rv was nice and clean and what I thought was a nice place to live. However, be careful. Objects containing drug paraphernalia were found in an rv, they also tried to sell my old drivers permit and my old permit papers at a garage sale after moving out. If you plan to move here, really choose wisely. People can either be nice or two faced. Take your pick.
Oct 09, 2022 · Eliza NooeThis is a great spot to get away. My children love to visit here. The people are friendly and I couldn't ask for more. For the person that has the name "gonna sue", the only complaint I have is the dog feces covering your lot and not cleaned up. It's unsanitary and it smells. The park has a policy that pet feces need to be picked up and there are designated pet areas also. It won't stop us from visiting, though. We recommend this park for anyone wanting a quiet get away.
