The environment surrounding Acorn Campground offers a blend of accessibility to local attractions and natural beauty. Situated in Green Creek, campers can appreciate the proximity to Wildwood, known for its beaches, boardwalk, and entertainment options. This allows for easy day trips to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and attractions of the Jersey Shore. Additionally, some visitors have highlighted the presence of a smaller beach near the campground, referred to as Miami Beach, which offers the allure of beautiful sunsets and a potentially more tranquil beach experience compared to the bustling shores of Wildwood.
In terms of services and features, information gleaned from customer reviews provides some insights into what campers can expect at Acorn Campground. It appears that the campground offers sites suitable for RVs and potentially tent camping as well. Interactions with the staff have been noted as positive, with reviewers describing them as nice and easy to deal with. This suggests a welcoming and helpful atmosphere from the campground personnel.
However, it's important to consider some of the specific feedback regarding the campground's infrastructure. One reviewer mentioned that maneuvering campers into the sites could be a bit tight, which might be a factor for those with larger RVs or less experience in backing up. Additionally, the setup for water and power hookups seems to be shared between two sites, potentially requiring campers to have longer water hoses and power cords to reach the connections. This is a practical consideration for those planning to utilize these amenities.
Another review presents a more critical perspective on the campground's overall condition and management. This feedback describes the campground as poorly maintained, with dirt sites that can become muddy in rainy conditions. The reviewer also noted issues with the roads, including the formation of large puddles. Furthermore, concerns were raised about the reliability of the Wi-Fi service, described as "next to non-existent." For campers who rely on internet access, this could be a significant drawback. The review also mentioned a restrictive policy regarding keys, with only one timed key provided even for longer stays with multiple occupants, which was deemed inconvenient.
Considering these varied perspectives is crucial for anyone looking for "camping near me" and considering Acorn Campground. While the proximity to Wildwood and the potential access to a quieter beach are definite advantages, the feedback regarding site conditions, shared utilities, and maintenance issues should be taken into account. Potential campers might want to inquire specifically about the layout of the sites, the availability and reliability of amenities like Wi-Fi, and any recent improvements or changes to the campground.
Currently, no specific promotional information for Acorn Campground is available in the provided data. To learn about any special offers, seasonal rates, or discounts, it would be best to contact the campground directly via the phone numbers provided or check online booking platforms and review sites for any advertised deals. In summary, Acorn Campground in Green Creek, NJ, offers a location that provides convenient access to the attractions of Wildwood and a nearby, potentially more serene beach experience. The staff has been described as friendly and helpful. However, potential campers should be aware of feedback regarding tight site access, shared utility hookups, and concerns about overall maintenance and Wi-Fi reliability. It is recommended to contact the campground directly for the most up-to-date information on services, features, and any available promotions to make an informed decision about your "camping near me" experience.

Acorn Campground Reviews
A nice camp ground. The staff I interacted with were very nice and easy to deal with. The only thing I didn't like was to back camper into sites was a little tighter then I'm used to and the water and power are 1 for 2 sites so you would need a longer water hose and power cord.Very close to wildwood but found a small beach close to camp site called miami beach. Very beautiful sunsets. Could have sat at that beach every night I stayed
Sep 10, 2024 · Josh GraybillThis is the worst Thousand Trails Campground I've stayed at so far. They are poorly maintained the sites are all dirt and the slightest bit of rain turns everything into a mud hole. The roads have giant gaping ponds in the middle of them. The Wi-Fi is next to non-existent. They provide you with one key which is timed at 15 minutes when two people are staying for 2 weeks that becomes an untenable situation. Do yourself a favor stay anywhere else and let this place rot
Aug 10, 2024 · Frank CerioneI would not recommend this campground if you are looking for a good experience. Hands down the worst campground I’ve ever stayed at. Renters that stay here long term seem to think they can do whatever they want! Loud music blasting profanity that starts at 8am & goes after midnight. Spot lights in your campsites where you can’t even enjoy a campfire. I would never stay here again! No gravel or pads to park your camper on just dirt. People yelling playing cornhole & basketball through all hours of the night. I stayed in site 65 right across from idiots.
May 26, 2024 · Jessica CGreat experience from start to finish. The campground was exceptionally clean and well landscaped. Seasonal sites made it look more inviting than imagined. Great experience overall and I would return without a doubt !
May 30, 2024 · Scott GettingsI was not happy with the condition of the camp site when compared to the fee that is charged. My electric hookup was in a very inconvenient spot. The water hookup was broken and could not be used. The showers in the bathhouse are in dire need of updates. There is no "pad" for your camper. No blacktop or stones, just dirt and sparse grass/weeds. At $56/night I expected better! I usually go to State Parks that are in better shape and at half the price. They have a pool and a game room, neither of which I used. I prefer a nicer campsite that is well maintained with everything kept in working order.I will say that the staff was very friendly and polite. No problems there.
