They can be contacted at (251) 233-7250 or their mobile number, +1 251-233-7250. It is essential for potential visitors to be aware that recent customer feedback regarding this resort presents a stark contrast in experiences, which should be carefully evaluated.
One review offers a highly negative assessment of Ahoy RV Resort, strongly advising others to "avoid at all costs." This reviewer likened the atmosphere to a "high school nightmare dressed as an Rv place," suggesting a negative social environment characterized by excessive drinking and gossip within the clubhouse. They criticized the staff, stating they were proficient at talking about one another but "not much else," describing them as "complacent at best but rude and lazy fits more." The reviewer expressed disbelief at the resort's rating, suggesting it might be misleading. Specific complaints included an unheated pool deemed "worthless," the absence of a hot tub or sauna, and a clubhouse bathroom described as more like a "locker room" than a luxury facility. The "lake" was dismissed as a "man made sinkhole mud puddle," and the entire place was said to "stink like wet dog pee." The reviewer also made allegations about the owners' wealth and their labor practices, advising others to "steer clear of this dump" and suggesting that other nearby RV parks, such as Sugar Sands, are significantly better.
Conversely, another review presents an overwhelmingly positive experience at Ahoy RV Resort. This guest initially came for a month but extended their stay to two and a half months, indicating a high level of satisfaction. They "absolutely love this place" and specifically praised the staff members Cassie, Ally, and John as "awesome." Sonya was commended for doing a "fantastic job with activities," suggesting an engaging social program. The owners, Chris and Kelly, were recognized for doing an "amazing job." The reviewer described the facilities as "Great" and highlighted a "very much a community oriented environment." They reported meeting many new friends and expressed their definite intention to return the following winter. This review paints a picture of a welcoming community with excellent staff and enjoyable facilities.
Given these diametrically opposed reviews, providing an objective introduction to Ahoy RV Resort requires presenting both perspectives without omitting any of the strong opinions expressed:
Environment: One reviewer described a negative social environment with excessive drinking and gossip, a "man made sinkhole mud puddle" for a lake, and a pervasive odor of "wet dog pee." In contrast, the other reviewer highlighted a "community oriented environment" that they "absolutely love," suggesting a positive and social atmosphere where they made lasting friendships.
Services and Features: The negative review mentioned an unheated pool, no hot tub or sauna, and clubhouse bathrooms likened to a locker room. The positive review described the facilities as "Great" and specifically praised Sonya for her work with activities, implying the presence of organized social events. The discrepancy suggests that the quality and appeal of the amenities may be subjective or that experiences vary significantly. Standard RV park amenities such as hookups, laundry, and general maintenance are not detailed in either review.
Staff and Management: The negative review portrayed the staff as rude, lazy, and focused on gossip, with the owners accused of prioritizing profit over fair wages. Conversely, the positive review lauded the staff (Cassie, Ally, John) as "awesome" and commended the owners (Chris and Kelly) for doing an "amazing job." This stark difference in perception of the staff and management is a crucial point for potential visitors.
Promotional Information: The positive review, detailing an extended stay and a definite plan to return, serves as a strong positive endorsement. The negative review explicitly advises against staying at Ahoy RV Resort and suggests alternative options. There is no mention of specific discounts, special rates, or advertised amenities in either of these recent reviews.
In conclusion, Ahoy RV Resort in Foley, Alabama, elicits strongly contrasting opinions from recent guests. One reviewer experienced a negative social atmosphere, subpar amenities, and rude staff, advising others to avoid the resort. Conversely, another guest had an overwhelmingly positive experience, praising the community, staff, and facilities, and планируя a return visit. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider both of these perspectives. It is recommended to contact Ahoy RV Resort directly to inquire about their current amenities, policies, and to potentially get a sense of the environment firsthand if possible. The significant divergence in feedback suggests that individual experiences at this resort may vary widely.

Ahoy RV Resort Reviews
This is an avoid at all costs type of place. It is a high school nightmare dressed as an Rv place. There is not much to do besides drink yourself silly and sit around the clubhouse talking about one another. The staff is very proficient at that but not much else. I’m not sure how they got their rating .. either bought it or the people giving it were never there. The pool is not heated so worthless. No hot tub no sauna. The Snob knob clubhouse has bathrooms but they seem a lot like a locker room not a luxury anything. Staff is complacent at best but rude and lazy fits more. The “lake” is a man made sinkhole mud puddle. Everybit of the place stinks like wet dog pee. The owners are wealthy as can be seen by their boat they use as a lawn ornament but refuse to pay anyone a livable wage to escape taxes. Just steer clear of this dump. I’ve heard sugar sands is much better but honestly anywhere is better than here.
Dec 14, 2024 · Amanda Oliver-HoytWe came for a month n stayed for 2/12. We absolutely love this place. The staff ( Cassie, Ally, John) were awesome. Sonya did a fantastic job with activities. Owners Chris n Kelly have done an amazing job. The facilities are Great. It’s very much a community oriented environment. We met so many new friends that will always be with us. We will definitely be back again this winter.
Feb 11, 2025 · Kaylanette WhiteleyThe staff and owners are wonderful, very accommodating and always willing to help. We've stayed here three times and have always found it a welcoming place to stay. The sites are level with plenty of room. There's lots of activities. And the park is in a great location for easy access the area's points of interest.
Mar 19, 2025 · John GradyThis park is awesome! Spacious sites, great prices, great location! What makes it even better is the staff and events! From the minute we pulled up the front desk was crazy nice and super helpful! The event coordinator is amazing! Since we’ve been here we’ve been able to attend Bingo, a field trip to Florabama (with other campers), and a night that many of the campers got together and brought their home cooked meals. So far this place has been absolutely fantastic. Thank goodness we have another month and a half!
Jan 25, 2025 · David BrownWe had planned on staying a week, then a month and 3 months later we were there through winter. Our families first long term stay but the kids absolutely loved this place. My son loved being able to ride his bike and fish. We appreciated the gym and all the amenities. The staff was wonderful and kind, everything was clean and beautiful and it reminded us how easy it is to make somewhere feel like home.
