Almond Grove Mobile Home Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on a senior (55+) community in Chico, California, or if you are considering Almond Grove Mobile Home Park for mobile home living, located at 567 E Lassen Ave #705, Chico, CA 95973, USA, it is important to consider both the positive attributes and potential limitations highlighted in the available reviews. You can contact them at (530) 342-6056 or +1 530-342-6056 for inquiries.
One reviewer describes Almond Grove Mobile Home Park as a "Great senior community (55+)," immediately establishing its target demographic. They highlight several appealing features, including a "pool/clubhouse" for recreation and social activities, organized "activities" for residents to participate in, and "potlucks" that foster a sense of community. The presence of a "caring park manager" suggests a supportive and attentive management team. Furthermore, the reviewer notes "affordable space rent" as a significant benefit, coupled with a "clean park" environment. The location is also praised for being "central" and "near all fwy, shopping, doctors offices and more," indicating convenient access to essential amenities and transportation links in Chico.
However, a contrasting review focuses on a significant limitation of the park: its strict pet policy. A potential buyer, a single 55+ employed female with two strictly indoor cats, was rejected due to the park's "ONE PET ONLY?!" rule. This individual expressed disappointment, noting that "Much nicer parks take more pets" and cited a nearby park with a more accommodating pet policy that they felt "actually enhances the park, does not detracts from the appeal." This strict pet policy could be a significant deterrent for senior individuals who have more than one pet, particularly indoor pets that pose minimal impact on the community.
The rejected potential buyer also highlighted a financial implication of this policy, noting that the home they were interested in ultimately sold for $5,000 less than they were willing to pay, suggesting that the strict pet policy may be limiting the pool of potential buyers and potentially impacting property values within the park. They also mentioned that their agent received the same rejection regarding the two cats, indicating a consistent enforcement of this policy. The reviewer questioned the rationale behind the policy, pointing out the financial loss for the seller due to this restriction.
Considering these two reviews, Almond Grove Mobile Home Park presents itself as a senior (55+) community with several attractive features, including amenities, affordability, a central location, and a seemingly caring manager. However, its strict one-pet-only policy is a significant limitation that could exclude potential residents with more than one pet, even if those pets are well-behaved and kept indoors. This policy may be a crucial factor for those searching for senior living options or "RV parks near me" for a longer stay who also have pets.
For those considering Almond Grove Mobile Home Park, it is essential to inquire about the specifics of the pet policy and any potential exceptions. You can do this by contacting the park management directly at (530) 342-6056 or +1 530-342-6056. Other important questions to ask include:
- Clarification on the one-pet-only rule: Are there any exceptions based on the type or size of the pet? Are there any provisions for pre-existing residents who may have acquired a second pet after moving in?
- Specifics about the pool and clubhouse: What are the operating hours and rules for these facilities? Are there any associated fees for their use?
- Details about the "activities" offered: What types of activities are organized for residents, and how frequently do they occur?
- Information about space rent: What is the current space rent, and what does it include (e.g., utilities)? Are there any potential increases in the near future?
- Rules and regulations of the park: Obtain a copy of the park's rules to understand all the expectations and restrictions for residents.
- If you are interested in bringing an RV for a long-term stay, directly inquire about the park's policies on RVs, including site availability, hookups, size restrictions, and pet policies specific to RV guests. Given that it is primarily described as a senior mobile home park, RV accommodations may be limited or subject to the same one-pet rule.
The positive review suggests a well-maintained and community-oriented environment with a convenient location. The negative review, however, highlights a potentially inflexible pet policy that could be a significant drawback for many seniors who cherish their companion animals. Potential residents must weigh these factors carefully based on their individual circumstances and priorities.
As a senior (55+) community, Almond Grove Mobile Home Park likely aims to provide a comfortable and engaging environment for its residents. The amenities mentioned, such as the pool, clubhouse, and activities, are common features in such communities, designed to promote an active and social lifestyle. The affordable space rent and central location are also significant advantages, making it accessible and convenient for senior residents.
However, the strict pet policy stands out as a potentially significant limitation. For many seniors, pets are integral to their emotional well-being and companionship. A strict one-pet rule could force potential residents to make difficult decisions about their beloved animals, potentially deterring them from choosing Almond Grove Mobile Home Park. It also raises questions about the park's flexibility and understanding of the importance of pets in the lives of seniors.
In conclusion, Almond Grove Mobile Home Park in Chico, CA, offers a senior (55+) community with appealing features such as a pool, clubhouse, activities, a caring manager, affordable rent, and a central location. However, its strict policy of allowing only one pet per resident is a significant limitation that potential buyers and renters with multiple pets should carefully consider. Those searching for "RV parks near me" with a senior focus for a longer stay should also inquire about the applicability of this pet policy to RV guests. Thoroughly investigating the park's rules and regulations, particularly regarding pets, is crucial before making a decision about residing in Almond Grove Mobile Home Park.

Almond Grove Mobile Home Park Reviews
Great senior community (55+), pool/clubhouse, activities, potlucks and a caring park manager. Affordable space rent, while providing a clean park in a central location (near all fwy, shopping, doctors offices and more).
Feb 15, 2022 · Natalie KorberONE PET ONLY?! I look down on no one. There are people living in travel type trailers there. One never knows their situation especially with recent disasters in this area. I was interested in a permanent home in the park. Though this would not be my preferred park, the home was newer and very nice. They would not take me: Single 55+ employed female with two STRICTLY indoor cats. Apparently only one pet allowed. Much nicer parks take more pets. Dayton Road has people with multiple small dogs. That park is much nicer. Their pet policy actually enhances the park, does not detracts from the appeal. I'm editing my review to add: The home just closed. For $5,000 less than I would have paid the seller. I told my agent this. I had looked at the home before when it was listed for much higher. I was willing to pay her the then asking price of 109 without a lower offer. Also please don't ask people to call you after you reject them. My agent said she also called and was told the same thing. They won't take two cats. So I want to talk to you why? Well, the seller could have had an extra 5 grand if they took me. That is true. The policy is eliminating a portion of buyers.
Mar 30, 2025 · Anette BIt's a very nice place to live. We have been in the park for 8 yrs. we used our motor home before that! The neighborhood watches out for each other also! Very important asset. Strict is good ! We thank gene & Bonnie for all their hard work. Gene's wife is a sweetheart too
Aug 28, 2016 · Joanne HowesonNice clean park. Would love a hot tub for chilly days and evenings. It's April 30th and pool is not open yet. We will see if it's heated. Joined Chico Sports Club for use of a hot tub and heated pool there. Club room does not include workout room and seems to be locked almost every time I have ventured over there except once and couldn't find the remote for the cable TV. All and all I give it 3.5 out of 5.
Apr 30, 2017 · Alicia CrespoLisa, in Chico, wouldn’t stop talking to let me explain my situation re renting a space. I don’t have a monthly income to speak of. I write checks for bills, cash, etc. on my investment account. Lisa will not listen to me re my financial situation. I can get a simplified investment value statement. She also increased the rent $61 over the sellers rental cost and was so rude trying to make me understand the non refundable $35 application fee that I cancelled the whole purchase and rental process. It was perfect for me and someone should teach her re public relations. Jo Anne Dow joshome300@gmail.com
