Alta Laguna Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on long-term residential options, specifically mobile home parks in the Rancho Cucamonga area of Southern California, Alta Laguna, located at 10210 Base Line Rd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701, USA, is one such community. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," your interest lies in mobile home living, and Alta Laguna provides a residential setting for mobile homes. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the available and overwhelmingly negative customer feedback, which raises significant concerns about various aspects of the park.
Alta Laguna's location on Base Line Road in Rancho Cucamonga places it within a city in San Bernardino County known for its master-planned communities and access to the Inland Empire region. The location offers proximity to various amenities, including shopping centers, restaurants, and essential services. Its position near major transportation routes can also provide connectivity to other parts of the Inland Empire and the broader Southern California area. For individuals seeking a long-term residential option in Rancho Cucamonga, the location of Alta Laguna offers a degree of suburban convenience.
The environment of Alta Laguna, based on recent reviews, appears to be significantly troubled by unaddressed maintenance issues, particularly concerning drainage and flooding. Multiple reviewers detail a persistent problem of flooding onto their homesites from neighboring properties, specifically those to the north and northwest. One reviewer recounts over a year of service requests and excuses without any effective remediation from the property management or the responsible neighbors. This situation suggests a significant neglect of property inspections and a lack of proactive management in addressing crucial infrastructure issues. The installation of new drainage after a prolonged delay is mentioned, but the depth is questioned by a reviewer, indicating a lack of confidence in the solution's effectiveness.
Beyond the physical environment, the community atmosphere and management practices at Alta Laguna also come under severe criticism. One reviewer describes the office staff as having "zero clue" and "too much attitude," accusing them of being overly sensitive and unhelpful. Another review accuses the management of "lying to the elderly" and disseminating "false facts," giving the community an "F" rating. The high employee turnover mentioned in one review further suggests instability and potential issues with the management team. The overall impression from the feedback is a community struggling with ineffective and unresponsive management, leading to unresolved maintenance problems and a negative living environment for some residents.
The services at Alta Laguna, as implied by the negative reviews, seem to be lacking in effectiveness, particularly concerning maintenance and problem resolution. While standard services for a mobile home park would typically include utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer) and waste management, the recurring complaints about unaddressed flooding and the condition of the grounds (mentioned as "falling apart") raise serious questions about the quality and reliability of these services. The mention of a "cesspool of a pond" and "crumbling asphalt" further indicates a potential neglect of overall park maintenance.
The features of Alta Laguna are not positively highlighted in the recent reviews. Instead, the feedback focuses on negative aspects. The persistent drainage and flooding issues are a significant negative feature, impacting the usability and safety of residents' homesites. The alleged mismanagement and high employee turnover contribute to an unstable and potentially unpleasant living environment. The deteriorating condition of the grounds, including foliage, asphalt, and a pond, detracts from the aesthetic appeal and overall quality of the community. The mention of potential ADA violations also raises concerns about accessibility and compliance with regulations.
One reviewer advises potential residents to be aware of local guide reviews, suggesting they might not be genuine due to perks received for positive feedback. This further underscores the need for potential residents to be highly critical and conduct thorough independent research beyond online reviews.
Regarding promotional information, the provided data does not include any positive promotions for Alta Laguna. Given the extensive negative feedback detailing significant maintenance issues, poor management, and a deteriorating environment, it is unlikely that the park is actively promoting itself positively at this time. Individuals considering residency would need to contact the management directly at (909) 987-2570 or +1 909-987-2570 to inquire about current lot rental rates and lease terms. However, the strongly negative reviews suggest that prospective residents should approach any information received from management with extreme caution and seek to verify it through independent observation and, if possible, by speaking with current residents who are not incentivized to provide positive feedback.
The numerous customer reviews for Alta Laguna paint a bleak picture of a community struggling with significant issues. The recurring theme is ineffective and unresponsive management that has failed to address major problems, particularly concerning drainage and flooding. The accusations of lying to residents, the high employee turnover, and the deteriorating condition of the grounds further contribute to a negative perception of the park. The serious nature and persistence of the complaints, including legal action being taken by at least one resident, should be a major red flag for any prospective resident.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a long-term residential option in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and are considering mobile home living within the context of "RV parks near me" that accommodate mobile homes, Alta Laguna is located on Base Line Road. However, the overwhelming negative customer feedback detailing severe drainage problems, ineffective and unprofessional management, a deteriorating environment, and potential ethical concerns should give any prospective resident significant pause. It is strongly recommended to exercise extreme caution and conduct very thorough due diligence, including a physical visit to the property to assess the conditions firsthand and, if possible, speaking with multiple current residents to gain an unbiased perspective before even considering residency at Alta Laguna. The risks associated with the issues raised in the reviews appear to be substantial.

Alta Laguna Reviews
Oh dear. You all see the "property owners response" below? That is from a twit who "works" in the Alta Laguna office (that writing is a sample of their work). Zero clue and too much attitude, isn't that right? Always looking to be offended.Stop lying to the elderly in this community. Your false facts are disgusting, blaming senior citizens with your lack of intelligence.Your ratings are an "F", that is also "A" FACT.The fact of the matter is, an attorney was hired. Sun Communities is so slow, like molasses in the winter. I read they're looking at some major fraud case against them? Anyway... Sun has finally installed 6 inch dia drainage, four and a half feet beneath the soil... (too deep for you to understand). I'll post pics later.Well, I’m back. It’s Jan 25th, 2024 and the problem is worse. I’ve hired an attorney as these people are not competent. The property owners don’t address major problems after neglecting property inspections for years. Service request after service request same issue of flooding from north and northwest neighbors not remedied; excuse after excuse for over a year.., it’s baffling. They seem to just run out the clock on issues. But I am young enough and strong enough to take this to court. Monthly homesite lease is paid on time each month yet no action by property manager or Sun or the north and northwest neighbor to address their same damaging flooding situation. The pictures speak to the truth, look at the massive accumulation and flooding from north and northwest neighbors. I've notified both neighbors of their flooding. Stopping by the office has not gotten land owner/management into action. Many people here don’t have the level of energy (or mobility) to deal with such complacency, a “schedule” and “in touch” is not action. After posting this (part 2), I now have an actual four corner inspection date (after a year of asking and more than 20 email requests). Management doesn’t have the ability to manage, claiming to have been understaffed. There are drainage rules here in this community: "Homeowners are responsible to ensure that their home and homeowner installed drainage devices DRAIN TO THE STREET or other approved drainage device NOT TO ADJOINING HOMESITES and to ensure water does not accumulate under the home or elsewhere on the homesite. Homeowner shall not make any changes to the homesite or install any structure or sidewalk that disrupts the drainage of the homesite". Look at that accumulation and flooding from the north and northwest neighbors. My drainage DRAINS TO THE STREET. Both neighbors drainage is accumulating in mass and flooding onto my homesite. *Note: Sun Communities has allowed the homesite property directly north of mine to slope severely toward mine, so much so that that north neighbors shed is on stilts (you can see the stilts beneath their shed).
Mar 16, 2025 · HRe: Alta Laguna, Caveat emptor… and also beware of local guide reviews. It’s not likely they reside here and they also receive perks for their reviews.Edit Update to the AL response to my review:Dear oddly anonymous Alta Laguna “owner” respondent,“Local guides” are indeed Google Local Guides who DO receive perks for reviewing. Educate yourself and look it up.As a matter of fact, I received points and confetti from Google simply by reviewing!Your responses about coyotes and other issues are also factually incorrect.Additionally, this community is not “resort” quality such as it has been close to in the past, prior to the present management team. Many serious issues, including criminal level issues, are allowed to continue unabated. There is high employee turnover which is never a good sign, and many other problems caused by substandard management. To pay the sum of money one pays for this “resort” living is outrageous. The grounds are falling apart from foliage to crumbling asphalt to the cesspool of a pond, plus numerous ADA and other violations.Additionally, mobile and manufactured homes are a poor investment and expensive to maintain. Be sure to check out many Sun Communities review sites for property reviews across the nation to get the really big picture before investing. And Dear Respondent, it would be lovely if you took pride in yourself, your employer, and this community by showing who you are instead of hiding behind a bot profile. We all would appreciate Thank you. This review is not the place to lay out my entire case but I’m willing to be honest and factual about my experience to anyone who asks me. I have proof of every grievance and take none of it lightly.
Mar 24, 2025 · Nanci SaadLived & paid extremely high increases in space rent every December, but property management DOES NOT care about the increasing wild COYOTE population here that are taking over and attacking & eating out pets. No longer a "prestigious" place to live. Dangerous.
