Angry Old Man RV Park Introduce
For local users exploring "RV Parks Near Me" in the Reidsville, North Carolina area, Angry Old Man RV Park, situated at 4589 NC-65, presents a relatively new option. Based on the limited but insightful customer reviews, this park offers a somewhat mixed experience with both positive and negative aspects to consider. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features of Angry Old Man RV Park relevant to those searching for "RV Parks Near Me," drawing directly from the available feedback to offer a balanced perspective.
A Rural Environment with Beautiful Stargazing
Angry Old Man RV Park is described as being located "wayyyyy away from city lights and noise," suggesting a rural environment. This location offers the significant advantage of beautiful stargazing at night, which can be a major draw for those seeking a peaceful and natural setting away from urban light pollution. The surrounding area of Reidsville, NC, likely contributes to this quieter, more rural atmosphere. For RV owners looking for "RV Parks Near Me" where they can enjoy the night sky and a less hectic environment, this park offers potential. However, it's important to note that this rural setting also means that amenities are not immediately available within the park itself, requiring a drive to nearby towns for services.
Limited On-Site Amenities Requiring Travel
One of the significant drawbacks mentioned in the reviews is the lack of on-site amenities at Angry Old Man RV Park. A reviewer explicitly states, "There aren’t any amenities so you have to go about 20 minutes to a town." This implies the absence of common RV park facilities such as bathhouses, laundry rooms, playgrounds, or pools. For RV owners who rely on these amenities, the lack thereof could be a major inconvenience. However, for self-contained RVs where these facilities are onboard, this might be less of an issue. Potential visitors should be prepared to travel to nearby towns for essential services and entertainment, which is a crucial consideration when comparing "RV Parks Near Me" based on convenience and self-sufficiency.
Uneven Site Conditions and Leveling Challenges
Another practical concern raised by a reviewer relates to the condition of the RV sites. They noted that "the gravel is not packed in on the side we were on & the ground slopes some so we had a heck of a time leveling our 44ft 5th wheel." This suggests that some sites may not be level and that the gravel surface might not be well-established, potentially causing difficulties in setting up and stabilizing larger RVs. For RV owners, proper leveling is essential for comfort and the functioning of appliances, so this potential issue should be taken into account when considering Angry Old Man RV Park as a "RV Park Near Me." It might be advisable to inquire about site conditions and request a more level spot if available.
Mixed Experiences with Noise and Security
The reviews present a mixed picture regarding the atmosphere within the park. While one reviewer found it "relatively quiet for the most part," they also reported instances of "loud yelling & cussing one night" that resulted in the police being called. Additionally, they mentioned "kids that like to run around the park at night screaming" and a concerning incident where "someone fired a gun in the park one night." These incidents raise potential concerns about noise levels and security within the park, which are important factors for anyone choosing an "RV Park Near Me." While another reviewer described it as an "amazing place to stay," these contrasting experiences suggest that the environment might be inconsistent or that individual perceptions vary significantly.
Positive Aspects: Pet-Friendly and Good Communication
Despite the concerns, there are also positive aspects highlighted in the reviews. One significant advantage for pet owners is that the park offers "the area way in the back to walk our dogs," indicating a pet-friendly environment with dedicated space for exercising animals. Additionally, the owner is described as "very nice the day we checked in & communication is very good." Friendly and communicative management can greatly enhance the check-in process and overall experience, providing a point of contact for any issues or questions. These positive aspects might outweigh some of the drawbacks for certain RV travelers seeking "RV Parks Near Me" that are welcoming to pets and offer good customer service.
New Park Considerations
One reviewer mentioned, "We know this is a new rv park," which could explain some of the current limitations and ongoing developments. New RV parks often take time to fully establish their infrastructure and amenities. Potential visitors might need to have some patience and understanding regarding the park's current stage of development. It's possible that some of the issues mentioned in the reviews, such as site leveling and the establishment of a more consistent community environment, might improve over time as the park matures.
Conflicting Opinions and the Need for Personal Assessment
The stark contrast between the two reviews underscores the importance of personal assessment and potentially seeking more recent feedback before making a decision. While one reviewer expressed significant reservations about staying again, citing concerns about leveling, lack of amenities, and noise/security issues, the other described it as an "amazing place to stay" with "great rates" and friendly owners. This discrepancy highlights that individual experiences can vary, and what might be a drawback for one person could be acceptable to another. Local users considering Angry Old Man RV Park as a "RV Park Near Me" should weigh these differing perspectives against their own priorities and needs.
No Mention of Promotional Information
The provided reviews do not include any information about promotional offers, discounts, or special rates at Angry Old Man RV Park. As a newer park, they might not yet have established specific promotions. Local users interested in potential deals should contact the park directly using the provided phone number ((336) 971-8845 or +1 336-971-8845) to inquire about their pricing structure and any available discounts, especially for longer stays.
Conclusion: A Developing RV Park with Rural Charm and Mixed Experiences
In conclusion, Angry Old Man RV Park, located at 4589 NC-65, Reidsville, NC 27320, USA, presents a newer option for local users seeking "RV Parks Near Me" in a rural setting with beautiful stargazing. While it offers a pet-friendly environment and good communication with a friendly owner, potential visitors should be aware of the limited on-site amenities requiring travel to nearby towns, potential challenges with site leveling, and mixed reports regarding noise and security within the park. As a new establishment, it may be undergoing further development and improvements. Local users should carefully consider these factors against their own needs and preferences and might benefit from seeking more recent reviews or contacting the park directly for the most up-to-date information before making a decision.

Angry Old Man RV Park Reviews
We know this is a new rv park and it worked out pretty good for the 2 weeks we were in town. The gravel is not packed in on the side we were on & the ground slopes some so we had a heck of a time leveling our 44ft 5th wheel. There aren’t any amenities so you have to go about 20 minutes to a town. It seems there are some permanent residents & there was loud yelling & cussing one night & the cops were called. There’s also kids that like to run around the park at night screaming. Someone fired a gun in the park one night. It stays relatively quiet for the most part & the stars are beautiful. The saving grace was the area way in the back to walk our dogs. The owner was very nice the day we checked in & communication is very good. Honestly not sure if we’d stay here again. We wish them the best of luck.
